Slippery ice?

Thanks for the help, I managed to have a nice ice maze now, my brother just tested it and it''s nice enough :)

Slippery ice?

Agh, I forgot about the get terrain ID event, I thought it was supposed to be in conditional branch, and when I didn't see it, I thought that wasn't aviable...
Thanks a lot guys! That was really easy and fast, now I can continue with my dungeon :)

Slippery ice?

I'm using rpg maker 2003, and I'm currently making an ice cave dungeon but I can't get of a simple way to make slippery ice.
I want it that when you step on ice, it starts moving you in the direction you're facing, untill you are out of the ice again.
The way I have in mind is to have an invisible event on the ice border that turns on the "ice" switch. and have another event on parallel process check whenever the switch is on, to move constantly in the direction you're facing. but the problem is to turn it off, because I would need another invisible event in the ice border that turns the switch off, but when you move to a tile by event, instead of by manually getting there, the touch events don't work, therefore the switch gets never turned off, and you keep on slipping forever...
Is that a relatively simple way of doing this, that doesn't involve making separate events for all the possible conbinations or directions and amount of tiles to move?

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

I'm playing a bit of final fantasy 5 for now, I have a love/hate relationship with it, the game is pretty fun, and the job system makes it better, but the story and everything is so... generic.

Summer Screenshot Spectacular!

I wish it was that easy WIP, I still have lots more of things to do, but I'm working on it :)

Summer Screenshot Spectacular!

Yeah, well to be honest, I didn't look too much into antique history to name it, it would really be an anphiteatre, but I think naming it THE colisseum sounds cooler (and we all know that cooler beats all kinds of logical reasoning in videogames)
the place is built like a stairs, so each outer ring is upper than the inner one, maybe you can't tell by the screenshot, but in game you can see the lower part of it, and that solves the perspective issues :D

Summer Screenshot Spectacular!

Thanks guys! I'll try to have a new demo with 4-5 hours of gameplay soon. :)

Summer Screenshot Spectacular!

Last screens for a while, sorry to spam so much of them, but I'm finnaly getting to the interesting parts in my game, the parts that I wanted to do when I first started with it, years ago. This is an important boss fight, you fight against the demon of the moon, Lune. He's one of the 3 demons that follow you for most of the game, and after a while he joins your party. You fight on top of the colisseum, which explains the background.

This is on of your Summons, Hippocampus (which was the boss of the underwater temple, from where i showed some screens some months ago)

This is one of the boss skills, Full Moon Strike. (making animations is FUN)

And another powerful skill, Eclipse fall.

That's it for now, I don't want to bore you with too many screenshots :3

Summer Screenshot Spectacular!

Ah I forgot, you can't really tell by the screenshot alone, but it's suppposed to be a sunset sky, as a panorama, that screenshot was taken in the middle of a screen pan, buty it's more obvious when you play the game itself :)

Summer Screenshot Spectacular!

Thanks guys! You can't imagine how proud I get when I hear that people actually remember that short demo I released YEARS ago!
Maybe I should make a gamepage for it, I'll look into that.
I have around 4 hours of gameplay for now, and I think I have 2/3 of the game complete or so, but I still have lots of stuff to do.
And well, eyeballs are... stare-y?
Nickad, I love the feel of that screenshot, so dark and gloomy, how did you get such a vibrant yellow with that screen tone? are those pictures?
