And yet it is expected of the participants to create a game which is as faithful to the source material as possible. Where's the creativity in that, story- and character-wise? That you have to come up with your own gameplay mechanics is obvious, since there are none in movies. But apart from that it's mostly copy-pastying stuff - characters, names, heck, even whole scenes! In my book that is not fun.
I guess there are people that have enjoyed or will enjoy that, but I wish this event was more about promoting original content (once again, I'm talking about the script, not mechanics).

"Defence Up" Status Effect (RM2K3)
I did extensive testing on RM2K and I can assure you that it works the way I said it does. I don't know, maybe they changed some algorithms in 2K3, but for 2K it is all true. I don't care for 2K3 enough to do tests for it, though - I only use 2K anymore.

I thought long and hard on which movie to adapt, however in the end I came to a conclusion that what you're asking the participants of is to create what is essentially a fan game. And I hate fan games.
Making an event revolving around fan games was a stupid idea. You should've just thrown us a keyword and told to make a horror game which somehow incorporated that keyword or concept; a game based on an original story, not some lame movie script adaptation.

"Defence Up" Status Effect (RM2K3)
DEF only affects normal attacks (and double attacks, and I believe suicide attacks too). It has no bearing whatsoever on damage from Attack skills, however it does on damage from Intelligence skills - yet not in the way you would think it would have. It turns out the lower your DEF, the less damage you take from INT skills. In other words, the higher your DEF, the more life you lose! Hilarious :)

Oh, and UF 1 was irritating if only because Neok didn't bother telling the player they can use a teleporter multiple times to get to different destinations. I think I wasted an hour trying to figure out that one.

I actually encountered some of the bugs you mention.
The game crashed on me every time I entered a Mirror battle. However when I restarted the game and reloaded a save made just before the fight, and then initiated it again, there were no problems. Strange indeed.
Lavitz having all the skills, except her EX I believe, is also something I encountered. It was the same with Tinderbot 2 after I used his activation skill.

I must say I'm kind of disappointed in the optional bosses. SPD Boost Field and SPD Crush Field made all of them extremely easy. It was just no contest. Heck, I was taking four turns to their one, so no wonder. I'm hoping AAV has more challenging uber bosses.
I'm embarrassed, though, that you've chosen to include my half-assed joke map originally made for Alex. It's so frigging unfunny and yet it's there to stay in AAG for all eternity, or at least until the end of the Internet. I, like, double face-palmed when that map came up :) Seriously, man, what were you thinking? :D
