Battle system coding has begun!
Indeed, having standards in a public blog system as opposed to your private one is a bad thing. Next on The Blog: uploading character sprites one-sprite-at-a-time... And fuck those people that spend more than a second on their blog posts and get their blogs pushed down the list, THIS IS TWITTER!!!

Who wants to beta-test this beast?
All I know is that RM Tool is completely unreliable. Some time ago I used it to trim down the size of various RM games I've downloaded over the years, and it turned out it removed lots of files that WERE used in those games, making them unplayable. I had to redownload most of them. Yay for RM Tool!
Final Fantasy Essence
Breath of Fire II: The Fated Child (XP)
It's always been my dream to reproduce Breath of Fire 2 graphics. Alas, I'm already involved in doing all the chapsets and charsets for a Final Fantasy 7 remake, so no time, no time... Maybe in the future which is bright thanks to SNES to XP ports!
Rework The Dead: Evil
I'm at the Jackal (ID?) boss on normal and I must say this is one of the worst boss fights I've ever had the displeasure to fight. Not only are his attacks impossible to dodge, he's frigging invincible! Invincible bosses you have to run from are some of the lamest boss fights imaginable. Really, the rest of the game is great, although it did took me some time to realize you can shoot switches and destroy certain doors, but this boss is so... dumb. I'm also not a fan of the adrenaline mechanic, it stalls the game a lot if you have lost lots of health and need to recover it.
Anyhow - I'm glad this got featured, it's a fine piece of software!

Balmung's Legacy: From 2011 and Beyond
Thanks for the kudos, man! Although truth be told, whenever I look at that game I'm ashamed at how buggy (and sucky!) it is XD
As for the various RPG Makers, I've used them all over the years and decided to stick with 2K (actually, 2009 Ultimate). 2K3's DBS is buggy as all hell, XP and VX got wrong resolutions, I'm not interested in learning Ruby, and I won't even mention VX's tileset fail. 2K got all I need.
