SMT? insta-sub!

Yes, SMT. The series Atlus apparently wants to keep on handhelds only. Gotta get that 3DS for SMT4, the bastards.

Well, I could always try my hand at making a true SMT game on the RM engine, but looking at my schedule that wouldn't become a reality until 2019.

The door for the house seems off, it seems as if it isn't connected and is just placed in front of the house without any connection to it.

That's because that door isn't connected to the house at all! In fact, it leads to the secret dimension of rainbows and meatballs.

Unfortunately, that was not to be. I was just lazy and forgot to fix this.
10 second fixes are the worst, I swear.

ugh, hated this part, was NOT expecting the jumpscares 0.0

I don't think anyone knew what they got themselves into at first.
And knowing that, I sit in my chair...laughing.

MUHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Man, I am so evil after 2AM. Actually, I should go to bed now.

Well, beaten...
Now, with a full keiser set (MAXIMIZED) and a level 99 party I'm paying my visit to the main plot's boss. Guess it will be kinda seaside walk now (I had no problems at 65 LoL)
Shortly, I write my Ideas.

Story 3/5: Something is intriguing, but as I've already said it's too sudden, and explanations are somehow a little funny, instead of being "deep" as they were intended to be, with a good reason behind the structure you've built.

Characters 2/5: Elioth has a little sense, everyone else is useless outside battle. You have good ideas, I hope in your future works you'll focus a little more on this side of the game-making because I have the feeling you overlooked something you could be very capable of!!

Gameplay 4,5/5: Challenge, a rough one, uneasy grinding and a real need of a well built strategy... in a few words, a true fight. Keep up!!

Replay rate 2,5/5: This game wants a sequel, not a replay

Overall: 3,5/5
A good game from a maker with a good potential, so I'm very happy I've found it, played it, beaten it until it has nothing more to show.
Thank you for the good time I had playin' your game!!

Thanks for the mini-review :D

Characters is indeed something I'm working on. In fact, my next project exists just because I want to get better at writing a story and characters. I don't feel like I am ready to start working on Blood Haze 2 yet.

We'll see how it all turns out, I'll have a blog post up about it in a few weeks; around the same time I'm putting up the game profile.

Here I am, again!

I've already beaten the game WITHOUT fighting the tower (I thought it was a post-game feature XD ), and now I'm challenging the Hyper-super-mega-boss. I'm breezing against it (level 90, 1200+ def and res on everyone) but I'm still stuck in guessing how to delay the judgement day.

Whenever you reduce a seal's HP by 20%, it resets the counter. This means that you can reset it 4 times per seal for a total of 16 times. Killing a seal will instantly fire off Judgment Day as well.
I like using an Almighty spell to bring down their HP by about 18%, then all I need to do is hit it once to reset it and I can do that 4 times, then just repeat it.
Of course, if your damage is too high and you reduce the HP by 20% per cast then that doesn't really help you since it'll reset the counter 4 times in 1 turn...which is useless ;p

To make it even easier, their HP is about 19K. So 20% HP is around 3.8K.

I have cleared Christine soul, but... what's that for? Except for Elioth's serenity it seems pretty useless

It's something for the sequel.

Blood Haze: Reborn

Glad to hear that! The game is a bit rough around the edges here and there, but hopefully it keeps being enjoyable. :)

Blood Haze: Reborn

Here's some explanation about her moves and some tips:

Beatrice Special Moves:
-Red Truth: Puts a debuff on you that reduces all healing done by 50%.

-Curse of the Witch: Puts a debuff on one party member that decreases their damage/healing by 90+%

-Golden Ballad: Inflicts Silence to all.

-Stake of Purgatory: Decreases one member's HP to 1%, but they become immune to all damage for the remainder of the turn.

-Blast Away!: Only used when both shoulder towers are up, she instantly uses this once she summons them so make sure to guard once she's at 50% HP. If she has 4 stacks of Tarunda on her though it shouldn't kill even if you don't guard and it takes up all of her turns so she can't do much afterwards.

Basically, 2-3 people to heal is almost mandatory for this fight, since the combination of Red Truth and Curse of the Witch can really mess you up. Ailment immunity or close to it is a given (Elioth with immunity and Me Patra works too, since then you can just use Me Patra to cure the ailments of everyone else in the party.)
The towers are mainly there to dispel buffs and debuffs, their attacks are Physical and Electricity so you can put up either shield each turn to take away turns.
The towers also have a weakness, namely Wind and Earth ;)

Outside of that, general rules of making sure to have 2+ stacks of buffs/debuffs and dispelling buffs/debuffs regularly apply.
Good luck.

Blood Haze: Reborn

He's in the Mansion in Despair, located in a different part of "Gharos Forest South-East".

Go back to the Excavator's Guild HQ and use the portal inside that teleports you to Kul'An ruins B8, go through the big stone door in the north and make your way up and through the portal at the end.
This portal takes you to the South-East part of Gharos Forest. From here, you can go west to Maria's Shack for the sidequest involving Bosco, north to Cathedral Ursum and East to the 2nd part of the forest.

The 2nd part is where you'll need to go, this part of the forest leads you to the Mansion of Despair.
It's an area without any enemies except for the boss at the end and is focused on collecting key items and shifting between 2 different dimensions to get to the end.

Needless to say, if you need a guide I posted one on Page 8 of the comments near the bottom, that should help you get through it if you're stuck ;)
Good luck!

I haven't seen if anyone posted it before, but I found a "minor" bug:
If you get paralyzed and the affected party member is the last one standing you have to shut down the game, because you can't do nothing but you don't even skip turn: you keep bashing space bar until you realize you can't do it forever and shut down.
Nothing really serious, but it's a little boring closing game and reloading (expecially when a boss after a cutscene can bind you and you have to watch it again LoL )

You can skip a turn using the side-menu, access it with the "R" button I believe, which is tied to the W key on your keyboard by default.
At least, I think it is. You can always double check the keybindings in the F1 menu XD
I mention it in the tutorial at the beginning but since this situation rarely happens, you probably forgot about it.

Anyway, as I'm in chapter 4 I can say that I'm having a lot of fun. This game has only some weak point, at least to me they look so. The first one is the steep difficulty curve you built between regular monsters and bosses (example: I breezed through the 6 in a row fight at the beginning of chapter 4 but the boss is outclassing me, even because its end-all skill is unfair. It doesn't hit me for 10 turns with null ailments and then it kills me without a way out!!).

Yup, that fight is just a DPS race with a hidden timer. I believe it's 15 turns and then it does it's ender move.
Debuff and Buff to 4 stacks then just nuke it down, if you can do enough damage it should go down at the 12th or 13th turn ;)

The second one is a little weakness in dialogues, sometimes a little too "I-have-to-say all-in-3-windows-and-no-matter-what-I-will-say-catchy-sentences"ish.

Working on that, slowly but surely :V

One questions, anyway to end this post:
The secret arena boss: I have maxed my arena level, but have I to defeat every monster to unlock him/her/it? I skipped two foes and killed 15 Jack in a row (too easy with the right pattern)

"The Golden Witch" appears on the list at Rank 7, Rank 8 just gives you access to the last tier of buyable items.

Blood Haze: Reborn

Yup, 2nd hardest boss I would say (not counting the Post-Game) bosses.
It becomes a lot easier once you figure out the elemental weakness pattern. I believe I actually posted it at like page 3-4 if you really want to know. Though a piece of paper will do the same thing ;p
