i'm playing the game to get frans route and rechecking yokos story and i came across the first interaction between miki and yoko and i want your opinions on whether i should move it till miki likes the player more or if i should tone down how upset she got or if it is fine the way it is?
...I don't understand the question. Can one of you translate?

Um, I don't see her learning of Beacon as "two wasted feats" at all? I mean, she heard about it from Mina's story, so she might have been curious enough to learn about it from her. This is merely a possibility, however. Whither or not she will actually have Beacon in Konae Detective Agency has yet to be decided.
Wait, so you are serious?O.o I thought it was a joke!
...Well, it's not that I mind explaining. You brought this upon yourself;)
What you need to know is that, regardless of what system are we using(yours, Might and Magic, D&D, whatever you want), the fundamental rules of Magic are always the same. No, really. That's because of the little something people call Mana. But what that is, you ask? There you have a lesson on the topic.
Magic is fueled by mystical energy sources, collectively called Arcana. The most aboundant and thus widely used source is Mana, which just sort of floats around everywhere, the amount of it varying in each dimension, though some of it usually passes the dimensional barriers, like how gases escape from the atmosphere. In your game and a lot of others, you can use a given amount of Mana you stored; after that, you need to replinish your stocks. The problem with this is glaringly obvious.
It's impractical. Primitive. Archaic.
It's not as if those who are capable of any kind of magic don't know this already these days; those who do this only do so because that's the only one they can when there isn't enough Mana around you at any given time to cast anything.
But this isn't the case now. There's a tear in the Marrendgame/Heartache reality, and the Interdimensional space, the Astral Plane, is overflowing with Arcana. After fifty years, there should be so much of it, there is no point in measuring Mana anymore. Casting a demanding but simple spell like Lloyd's Beacon is child's play.
Yet Masako is tired after using magic. Why exactly? Casting spells when you don't need to endure a flow of energy ripping out of you can't be in any way so tiresome. For this reason I concluded that Masako is not a Spellcaster; she practices a different method. Manifesting would be my best guess, which relies on the power of the mind to have magical energies do your bidding. I felt it fits her and her monstrous mental faculties, in any case. Now, you can't manifest Beacon; it relies on an arcane mark to emit a magical signal, what nobody but Spellcasters can normally create. Thus she needs a "feat" or whatever you want to call the extra practice effort that enables her to create a mark, and possibly another to get Beacon itself.
Reasonable enough? I'm not saying this is how it is, after all, I don't know everything. Feel free to oppose it if you can.

I love the exposition! It's delivered excellently! And as Masako shows that she, of all people, is as in the dark as anyone else gives me the shivers! Very nice!:D Maybe you could expand on that? Have the player point it out?
(But wait. Masako can cast Lloyd's Beacon? What led her to commit this? She's Divine! That's TWO FEATS WASTED RIGHT THERE!*nerdrage*)
Irrelevant outbursts aside, the events need just a little more Player in them. Other than that, perfection.

Of course, that's why we're here!:) I can think of the following solution given what I have to work with.
In all honesty, I do not know if the game engine handles spaces, high case letters, or the lack of extensions in the binary path - I had no part in the development of the main game and built-in content - but I would assume it does not, since nobody ever used them before, and I'm trying to extablish a set standard for Custom Content files in any case(as various authors have their own interpretations of how files should be named and where they should be placed, the directories are becoming a huge, inextricable mess). Make sure you substitute spaces with _s, use low case letters only and include extensions in both file names and binary paths.
Should this not work, upload some screenshots of the relevant part of the files and directories, maybe the files themselves, unless you mind spoiling the audience.

Er, was there something wrong with his attitude? (^^;)
I see plenty wrong with it, in fact. Then again, knowing who I am, I could very well be mistaken. We'll see.
And have you got some sort of six sense so you can show up out of nowhere whenever someone mentions your name? If so, can you tell me how to get it?:D
EDIT:... Flowerthief!...:D? :D?

author=TthedragonThat's MY job, thank you. And you can, but I expect you to temper your attitude.
Heya, flowerthief...
Would you mind if I took ID tags 34 and 35?
Just a heads up~

Has anyone cleared the sneakier version of the janitor mini-game? I ask, since I cleared it during a recent run of the game with Fran (No, she's not done yet, but I wanted to do a trial-run with what I had.Wait, this is Marrend talking?), Masako, Uchioniko, and Yoko. You know what happened? Nothing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that mini-game is supposed to end automatically when one clears it?
Mind you, this isn't something I'm expecting anybody outside of Big Boss to fix, whenever he gets his new computer anyway. I just thought it was a bug worth mentioning.
I cleared it multiple times last week while I was testing Fran. Maybe you're... toilet paper blind? I don't know.

I love you guysT-T
In a strictly friendship kinda way. Not that there is somethingwrong with the alternatives. I'm open to anything, really.
On the sidenote, I think my sister mixed booze into my tea again.

to show the tone that i have planned for yoko to try and get her to talk i don't want yoko to force her to talk more try to convince her that she should but in kind of a caring way without pitying or condescending shoko
The idea is nice, I quite like it. But unlike Masako, we're not telepaths. Tell us what you want us to comment on next time.
