Breath of Fire : Legacy

1500+ downloads and no survivors of the experience to write a review? HMMM... I am freaked out a bit.

RMN3 Bugs

Okay this is kind of funny. I don't know if it's the best place to post this but here goes. I try to see this topic I made here http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/6310/

... And I get a freaky error with tons of lines of code. At the end it says: "You're seeing this error because you have DEBUG = True in your Django settings file. Change that to False, and Django will display a standard 500 page. "

I can see any other topic fine except that one. lol?

Azure Dreams...sort of.

I played this game back on the day, when Konami started releasing really cool RPG out of the blue. Vandal Hearts and Suikoden 1-2 were favorites of mine alongside this classic. I don't remember it very well because it's been a lot of years since I lost the game.

It was pretty challenging for me, because I had little experience back then. I remember getting strong equipment only to lose it with a stupid mistake. And there were those monster's den attack, where a lot of beasts suddenly rained from above and you went "oh shit!"

It really had tension especially on upper levels. I was always torn between getting out with the stuff collected or going up just another level. Pretty addictive and fun, good music. It's a good game concept for adapting to an rpgmaker. Just one town, an huge dungeon and a single playable character.

Breath of Fire:Origins

I honestly gave it a try, but after seeing that BugTest guy it turned ridiculous. How am I supposed to take the game seriously if I can get to level 99 right there? The slime boss went down in one hit, the Eldritch one lasted 2 turns...

And after that, what? The slime says to go back but I did so and nothing happened. Wandering the huge forest maze fighting weak enemies with a level 99 party isn't that fun, so I stopped there.

Heya fellow rpg developers

I was just looking around the games but I decided to join in the end. I am a veteran rpg2k/2k3 user, and I suffer from the "make 10 projects, finish none" syndrome. Can't stop it either, so I am still using the program on a daily basis.

It's gotten so bad that my 360 is collecting the dust and I'm really out of the loop on current gaming. I grew up playing SNES games, and since rm2k3 is around that level, I guess that's why it's become my favorite. Nothing beats the feeling of the first RPG you played, eh?

My other point of obsession is Breath of Fire. I've been turning into a fanatic of this series gradually, and now that I am making a game there's no stopping it. Unfortunately, I have no demo to put up on the site and I am no fan of releasing them anyway.

I'd like to know if anyone is making another Breath of Fire game? I've seen a couple BOF projects on the site, but they seem to be abandoned. And if you are not doing a game project but have some BOF resources (sprites, sounds, etc) that I could use, that would be great. That's it for an introduction, see ya around!
