I am like your complete opposite. But I am also like twice your age. Maybe it's like that who liberal/conservative thing with games.
When you are young, you like weird artsy games with little depth but good stories, but when you are old you like solid gameplay over aesthetic or anything else. or something like that.
I feel like your theory is probably correct.
Though gameplay is important to me as well,and it's definitely something I'm looking to improve upon in future games.

At the very least, having played plenty of games who lack all that makes you appreciate just a solidly built, polished mediocre game.
True: even I have played artsy games with so many bugs and glitches that they were just plain un-enjoyable.

I kept trying to figure out what the plot of a game would have to be if you needed to fight both snakes and ghosts... something scary, ridiculous or surreal I imagine.

These are cool, they really do look like gameboy pixels. The snake battler looks a lot better now! His head's all smooth. I would add more shading to the cut-scene pixel though.

Do you finish most games you start? Or do you get bored quickly?
(Playing or making?) Either way I tend to obsessively focus on things. So if I'm play or making a game and obsessing over it I am likely to finish it as long as I don't switch obsessions before I'm done.
Describe your wallet to me. What material is it made out of? How long have you had it for? Does it hold significance to you?
It's a weird plastic material. It's got the cat bus from My Neighbor Totoro on it. I've had it for a couple years. It doesn't hold any significance but it sure is cute.
What is your stance towards fizzy drinks? Do you think they are sugary diabetes?
I don't like how soda tastes and I REALLY don't like how carbonated drinks feel in my mouth. (Well I like Izzie's and sparkling cider but like I can't even drink mineral water). I think soda in moderation is fine. But most people don't drink it in moderation so that's not good...
What is your idea of the perfect RPG Maker game? One that will utterly demolish all the other RPG Maker games and be heralded as the best of all time? How will you make it?
For me Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea already is the perfect rpg maker game. But I would never try to make a "perfect game" because I feel like working with that mindset would guarantee failure for me.
What is your goal in life?
Be happy, travel lots, make art. Jeeze I'm generic.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Job-wise, health-wise, family-wise?
A year out of college. So broke in a shitty apartment. Maybe dating someone? Hopefully healthy, I have to take good care of myself because of my Behcets.
What would you do with $1 million?
Put half in a bank for future finances, give some to my parents, use some of it on myself for art supplies and video games and a trip to Iceland. Donate the rest to a charity.
Do you sometimes recognize the taste of your own mouth? Literally, can you taste the taste of your mouth right now?
...I can't. I mean it tastes kinda like water. Like nothing and something at the same time? It's not anything distinct though.
Do you hate how often time goes past? Or do you like it?

Like I wish I had more time in life but at the same time thank god it goes on or I would still be in middle school.

I'm myself but like 40% cooler. And 80% nerdier. My high school was small so I didn't really have a lot of people I could geek out with so I do that online.

Better. If I'm not special there's less pressure for me to do something great. I find the fact that we're insignificant cosmic space dust comforting.

Hello! I'm Ebeth, I'm 17 and I'm new to rmn and to making games. I've been lurking around for about a week already and didn't see the intro forum until now. Better late than never?
I enjoy playing games of all types but I especially like ones with detailed and interesting storytelling and nice graphics. I am also one of those people who enjoy weird artsy atmosphere games with little gameplay and no point.
Like I said I'm new to game making but I really enjoy it. Yep. Just love obsessively working on games to the point where I don't really have a sleep schedule I just nap sometimes.

I'm probably going to ramble on a bit here because I am very excited about my first game getting it first review! And to be honest I wasn't expecting a review as positive as this from anyone; I was bracing myself for a rip to shreds review. So I'm thrilled. I wasn't trying to turn any genre convention on there head, in fact a " simple short game with a cute bunch of characters and a sweet and somewhat naive storyline" is exactly what I was going for.
I will definitely keep in mind your critiques for future games, which will hopefully be more complex puzzle wise and just overall better sound wise. (and fancier art wise and ...ect)
Also I'm glad the plot twist was a plot twist for you! I imagine for some it won't be but oh well. Also interesting is some of the symbolism you found in the game that I didn't intentionally (consciously at least) put in there. But since you pointed it out I'm going to run with it.
