ELDER71'S PROFILE
Elder71

Hi, I'm Stephen, lead designer of OMNIS - The Erias Line.
Aspiring game-dev, societal drop-out, coffee drinker, chain vaper. Pixel tweaker. Location maker. Character dreamer-upper.
Also a part-time Parallax Mapper available on commission.
(contact me re: commissions at elder71@hotmail.co.uk)
ALSO - I like reviewing games. If you're looking to get your game fairly reviewed with constructive criticism/feedback, PM me or email me or otherwise contact me telepathically. My messenger-pigeon service is out of order following an unfortunate incident that involved a jumbo-jet engine.
Cheers,
S.E

Verdamm and Solis concept art.

From looking at this, I'm pretty sure you took some artist levels. ;)
This is really good, it makes me curious about the city, and incidentally the world it's set in.
I'm really glad you like it, intrigue is something I really want to cultivate. For obvious reasons the demo is just a narrow window onto the game's world. I'm so eager to get making the full game. Just gotta hope Kickstarter is kind and my prep is good.
Ganta concept art
Yeah - tropes are a good thing in helping define a genre, but I just think they've been over-relied on and I wanted to invent something fresh and take a few existing tropes and switch them around.
I've decided to do one piece of location concept art a day, so there may be enough for an artbook sooner than expected!

I hope you make a concept artbook or something <3. This is so nice!
When there's enough of it I certainly will :)

Kotaku?! (That's a famous site, right? That, or I must've gotten it confused with another one...)
Goddamn you... now I have to catch up again with Graceless Reminisce...
Anyway, congrats.
Thanks man. I'm thrilled to pieces with the article.
Commercial or Not Commercial?
author=LouisCyphreauthor=Elder71It will at that time, when you eventually begin to accept currency for it.
This is where I got confused, see - I will be selling it, but not until late 2016. Nothing currently exists anywhere related to my game that is for sale. Does it still require the tag?
It is probably prudent to add the tag sooner, to properly manage player expectations.
I hadn't thought about it that way. Thank you for the advice, I'll leave it as is.

Commercial or Not Commercial?
Having read the terms and conditions before I added my game OMNIS, I added the commercial tag to avoid violating any rules.
But I've since begun to doubt whether OMNIS requires the commercial tag.
It's in demo phase at the minute, which is obviously free, and I'm wondering if people might be discouraged from trying it because of the commercial tag (i.e. does anyone worry that the commercial tag implies the game is pay to play?)
If anyone can clarify the conditions under which a game requires the commercial tag, I'd be grateful :)
Thanks, El
OMNIS - the Erias Line (DEMO)

I really enjoyed the demo and wish I had the money to get the complete version. Oh well I'll put it on the of rpg maker games I will get when I have money to spare.
The complete version hasn't been made yet, we're heading to Kickstarter soon to get funding. Really glad you enjoyed it though, there'll be updates as things move along!
For the curious
That's ten different sheets all squeezed together in the same image. Even when each resource sheet is separate it can be sometimes difficult to find specific things (where did I put that candle??) but I spent so long using them that I've got a good sense of direction :)
