Here's one for you guys; how do you feel about a girl that's attractive and that she knows that she's sexy? Is that a turnoff or intimidating to some of you?
You know what I hate? When the opposite happens.. when a girl isn't attractive but thinks she is dead sexy! And then they do dress and behave ways that really aren't flattering to themselves and ughghghghgg...
Not saying there is anything wrong with unattractive people, especially of the female variety. Just you gotta know how to rock what you got and if you try to be someone you're really not.. well it just doesn't look good!

How about this; are there any cliches that you LIKE?
Cliches in general don't really bother me. Storytelling is far more important than the actual story being told. So as long as the story is being told effectively and makes me care about the characters and their goal, I don't really mind seeing elements of stories I've already seen pop up in other games. Originality for the sake of originality is just dumb in my opinion. As long as the story doesn't feel like a direct rip off of something I've played before I likely won't have an issue.
Cliches that I like more? Oh, I dunno. I just like playing the role of the hero that saves the world. I guess the cliche I like the most is when the hero and villain have a special relationship where they're fated to battle each other. Like Ryu and Fou-Lu in Breath of Fire IV.

Yes and no. Even when I don't I always seem to attract the same kinds of girls.

Megaman. Definitely Megaman. My childhood best friend and I were both obsessed with him.
Mario, Zelda, Secret of Mana.. enjoyed those all too. Even though I started RPGs with a rental of the original Final Fantasy as a child, I wasn't too much a fan of the game outside of selecting my own party. I did rent the US releases for FF IV and VI as well but it wasn't until Chrono Trigger that I really appreciated playing RPGs.
