Heck yeah! I like the darkness as part of the atmosphere of some dungeons. I also have multiple levels of darkness, inspired by Dragon Warrior 1. No light sources = minimal light, a torch gives small light, and magic can give even more light!
It's an old mechanic from DW1 and Ultima, but I like it as a vibes of some dungeons. Makes it feel a bit more hostile that you need some extra prep to handle them. But also not too dark or a hassle that it becomes unfun hopefully.

Turns out I didn't even start character stats or skills until this weekend, much less monsters, so uh have some walking around maps! No plot/narrative nor battles. Just a half finished town and dungeon and world map. Some evented features that don't have much time to shine since there's no meat on the bones, but I had fun making them at least.

Can confirm! It's in my demo still. Take the ship, go into a whirlpool, leave, and poof you get the mermaid. I liked a land vehicle and decided to make my mermaid-ship go on land too because that's rad.

I got a smattering of half finished maps, some mechanics that don't work (I realized way too late you can't check if an enemy has a condition, heck you can't even check a player has a condition in battle events!) and characters with one defined stat, time to see what I can put together!
