[Demo] MAGE DUEL
author=Max McGee link=topic=2017.msg33498#msg33498 date=1222197583
I know this would probably be easy to fix, but it is an intentional choice. You see, basically, if you have Mirror Image and use it constantly, it IS your enchantment. The idea is you don't bother buying one, unless you need it for special purpose fights (versus an Evoker, unless you have taunt, having a Flame Aura or something equipped might be more useful than Mirror Image, since Mirror Image only effects physical evasion). If it helps at all, all of this will be explained in the documentation included in the final release. I can understand how it all must have seemed like glitches and bugs starting out.
Ah, my bad. Pointing out that Mirror Image becomes the enchantment would be very helpful, I thought I was on to something awesome with an Illusionist with the 'Immune to Mental Status' enchantment, 'Immune to Physical Status' healing spell (which didn't help with the spider for obvoius reasons), Manaburn, and Blind. I just have to be less Mirror-Image happy from now on!

author=Max McGee link=topic=2017.msg33208#msg33208 date=1222117899That makes sense, I didn't think about how Mental would affect magic defense (which also explains why I'm taking 100 damage from enemy spells, I've been pumping my physical defense too much)
Really, really, really depends on your build. If you have high arcane or direct damage of your own, Feeblemind is much more effective, but it's not a great skill on its own.
author=Max McGee link=topic=2017.msg33208#msg33208 date=1222117899This makes me worry and it makes the Enchantment slot useless if you use Mirror Image frequently (I use it probably every battle). There should be a way to have the cake and eat it too, I'm going to poke my head into your code and see if I can find a solution.
While it might seem annoying, this is a feature, not a glitch. What the spell Mirror image does IS create an enchantment which replaces your current enchantment that you have in the slot. I might create a system to auto-re-equip your previous enchantment after the fight if a lot of people feel it's a big enough problem to warrant this.
Superheroines Who Are Real Bitches
None of them have anything on Superman. There's an entire website dedicated to how big of a dick Superman is
RMVX - Graphics.snap_to_bitmap
Its on a per-case basis. Transitions to different areas would keep the HUD onscreen after the transition, but transitions into battles would have the HUD removed after battle. The HUD will be gone after the transition if its for a battle so it can be removed before the battle transition begins (although there's instantaneous encounters so I'm not sure what to do about those).
I'll try to get a video up to show what I'm blabbering about. It'll probably make a lot more sense when that comes up.

Top Ten Topic: Favorite Classes

5. Comp Sci 330 - Operating Systems
Bastard! When I took Operating Systems my proffesor was a huge jackass who openly admitted to the class he didn't want to be there. Guess how that class turned out?
(Hint: Part of one assignment was 'Make a file system' with about half a page of documentation using an OS that was painful to use and compiling it was an incredible headache)
I'm pretty sure that was a case of where curving the grades saved half the class from failing.
My favorite class would be Software Engineering in Teams, mostly because the professor was interseting to listen to and he had a lot of anecdotes from his own experience as a consultant. There was also Web Based Development, which resulted in weeks of almost no sleep was a lot of fun when I wasn't ready to drill holes in my skull out of fustration and hatred for everything about the course.

Damn, there are a ton of entries. There is no way I'm going to be able to play them all. It is time to TRIAGE

Spore
The 3GB of data on C: is because Spore keeps its cache in the user profile. Its a stupid setup that too many developers use. I like being able to just transfer a game folder and have all of the save games come with it! (Then again, that setup isn't as good for multiple computer gaming on the same computer)
As for the bugs, its a hit or miss scenario. Plenty of people haven't had any sort of issues with glitches, while others have reported that the game crashes when leaving a planet's atmosphere. I've heard that the recent patch which fixes bugs, reduces the attacks/ecodisasters in Space, and adds a hilarious nextgen graphical filter also makes creatures invisible.

Mage Duel
Made a Illusionist/Healer
- When picking the Healer's secondary ability, Prinn's Panacea and Flame Shield had the same description (Heal physical status ailments)
- Feeblemind seems pretty useless. I used it when fighting an Evoker and his regular spells went from ~115 damage to ~95 out of 300HP, giving me one extra turn (which offset the turn used casting it). I rerolled for a different strategy
- Manarape has no animation
- The game keeps deequipping my Enchantment at some point when I fight. I have to reequip it after every battle
- The camera pans are boring and repetative. Its always the same thing with the same crowd which just sits there. The special fight one was definetly a nice change in pace.
My usual strategy was to Sleep+ManaBurn magic users (since the evocation spells hurt for ~1/3 of my health) until they have to do regular attacks, when I just Blind+MirrorImage them and I rarely get hit except for mobs that I can't debuff in time or special attacks like the Scorpion stinger which aren't affected by the accuracy mods.

Intellia
- People don't seem to move correctly in the first scene. The queen and the guard don't animate when they walk, they just kinda float along. This seems to be a running problem across the game. On a related note, some random walking NPCs move really fast but infrequently
- During the escape sequence, when you go down the stairs in the room after one of the hooded intruders appears, I got stuck. After I went down the stairs, the maid walked in front of me so I stepped left into a "We can't go that way" event. Then the maid moved back in front of me and I got stuck. The maid wouldn't move, I couldn't step right, so I had to restart.
- The acadamy is incredibly empty. There's about four students including Rollo (well, there's the learning Blaze cutscene where there was five in total). It doesn't feel like a place where people live at all since nobody seems to actually live there.
- You can walk over bushes in the forest if the outer reaches of a small tree's shadow is over them (one tree is missing its shadow in the upper right corner of the forest)
- Oh wait I found the fifth student. He kicked me ass the first time (but I totally wasn't playing like a mage so I was asking for it)
- Those damn butterflies aren't passable. I don't know if this was intentional but its annoying that such small things are the same obstacle as an actual person
- Hotkeys for things like the quest log are awesome and far better than going into the menu to view it
- All of your Tranfer Player events drop the player on top of another Transfer Player event. I'd suggest when moving the player have the player one square away from the event to leave the map they entered. This way if they want to leave right away its a single square away (instead of having to walk off of the event and back on), if they want to stay in the room they're one square closer to where they want to be, and walking left/right (if possible) won't take them right back out of the room
- I thought telling the Librarian you found the Fire Safety book and getting a prize out of it was an excellent finishing touch on the quest. I wasn't expecting that.

Besides the Game.ini issue, no. Its just a problem that comes up when you make a game using the Japanese RMXP and the player is using the English RMXP RTP. You can fix it so people can play it with either RTP if you include the RGSS10XX.dll that you used (in your case RGSS100J.dll) with your game download and have it in the same directory as the Game.exe
