More Zero Reality

- In the sewers, you can walk into the base of boxes if they're up against the bottom wall. The thin one-tile wide boxes are also weird: The top of the box when they're against the bottom wall is like walking into a solid wall, an untuitive obstacle.

- There's a tile where if you walk on it the game crashes with a 'Scripted Hero doesn't exist' error. From the first save point in the sewers, keep walking down. You'll get to where you can't go down anymore and have to go left past some rollers. Walk next to the box that's up against the bottom wall.

- Just past it is a weird passability issue. Go to the next screen and to the right of the pipe is a 2x2 tile, but you can't walk on the upper half of it. You could walk there on every similar tile but not that one.

- Magnetic Slimes have way too much HP. Even using skills killing one took forever and cost two allies. I can barely run away either, not with that useless sack of HP Saggitarius slowing the party down (he barely gets one attack for everyone, including enemies, two turns and he has nothing special for his slow speed except HP and a bit more attack power. I got rid of his -AGI equipment just to speed him up). I ended up opening it up in RM2k3 to slow them down a bit and giving the Slime a HP amount that didn't take forever to kill him.

- I'm also an idiot, I noticed later that Libra has a Getaway skill. :(

- Correction from my last bit: There's no combat music in the sewers, its back for the train. However the 'Emergency' music that's playing in the savepoint car dies when you leave then starts up again when you start fighting the MPs.

- There's no way to go back on the train roof. I skipped a grate and wanted to go back, but no luck. Not that it matters I guess, I died on the trio Guard+Imperial Capta fight.

- After the trains crash, is that the end? I couldn't find a way to get into Tartaros or anything. (Oh wait nevermind I found it)

- Focus really doesn't work. It pretty much stops the battle until Saggitarius finally gets his after-focus turn. Then on his turn nothing really changed.

- Healing Salves say they heap 500HP, but they only heal 250.

- The Devastator v2 is a big jerk. Missile salvo is the only move to look out for, but there's not much point to doing any real damage until the repairers show up. Kill them then fight the boss for real. Except then it takes forever and the music loops three times or so.

- The west exit of the town after escaping the ruins does nothing. No "Can't go this way yet" or anything until Bruce joins.

I got Bruce in the party and called it the day.

Zero Reality: Shattered World

- Now I see why people would think the start of the game is hard: Healing items suck and you've only got so many. Enemies do about as much as a healing item so you can't heal during fights. Good thing its so easy to run from everything (and when you do have to fight, you can just spam your 7 IP skill to murder anything in 1 hit)

- Please don't break up sentences between message boxes. Its even worse when you can see that a sentence can fit in one window but it instead spills into the next. Some text doesn't even go halfway across the window before it goes onto the next line/window.

- Saggitarius has a funky thing on top of his head. A line of pixels that shouldn't be there.

- When the meeting is over (this is in the 'One day ago' flashback, right when it starts), go up one screen. Walk so you're right below the trash can, and walk left. I don't think I'm supposed to be there.

- There's no battle theme in the flashback.

More tomorrow, I'm hitting the sack.

An FFX thread for you schmucks

I'm curious if that thing can even run on a real NES, because wow.

I hope it wasn't done by the same guys who tried the FF7 on NES. I watch a video of the first fight and things like that are reasons why sayings like 'I'd rather watch grass grow' came from.

Someone... play my game...

It was a combination of
,
, and
. And it was too dark that I couldn't see what was going on at times.

Ah, thanks. I talked to one of the side flunkies and got stricken by "Well they all look the same and they're guards so they all say the same thing! Doohurr". Thanks for that.

Last Legend the Third
- Make the guard captain stand out more or something. I feel really stupid for getting stuck there.

- In Brown City, there's a huge house whose roof affects walking on the street above it. Minor issue.

- Holy skill dump! Melane learn all of the Element-All spells at level 8.

- The Deal Knight mob boss fight was fun considering how easy the rest of the bosses were. (Then I got a party with sprint shoes. Those things are so helpful its hilarious what they + poison can do. Hell I can kill some enemy mobs before they even get a turn)

- No sword icon when I found the Arraches

- There's dirt around Deal's drawbridge

- You can 'talk' with some animals, but not others. One village (I think the one after the swamp I think) had a cat that meowed 'n all, but that seems to be the only place where you can do that.

- There's a shortcut in the valley. By the exit, you can walk under one of the diagnal cliff tiles like nothing's there.

Oops didn't mean to post, still playing

- You can walk over the castle ruins by the valley exit

- Tyler's scenario ends really abruptly. You enter the cave and that's it. Feels like there should be something like a "Tyler has reached the Ice Cave, but what about the others?" I guess. :\

That's about all of Last Legend I can take for now (plus at this rate I'll never get to any of the other releases). Overall it was fun but it really dragged on, at least for Tyler's scenario. In the process of walking to the Ice Cavern I had to get a badge, meet another one of the father's buddies (whos keeping all the good info to himself), cross a bridge, suffer from an annoying landslide, find the right guy to talk to, find inner peace, reach the capital of a kingdom, walk into a tree on the road, kill a frog that was a toadal pain to fight, find a maze that wasn't a maze, get gangraped, break the game, get gangraped again, fail to cross a bridge, save the world, eat some churros, get lost, cross another bridge, jump off a cliff, and finally get to the Ice Cave. By the time it was all over I really didn't care for reaching the Ice Cave because it just felt like it dragged on.

Then there's two other scenarios that's left to do of a guy I had for five minutes or do Ninja Boy and China Boy who had even less screen time. Tyler's scenario really burnt me out.

Not saying it was all bad. The later bosses were fun to fight (even if I did steamroll them). Especially the scenario boss. It wasn't the regular 'kill minions, go to boss alone, win' and it involves changing the battle plan mid-fight. None of the dungeons were bad and some had interesting design (watch out for falling boulders! I don't think I got hit though, I don't know what happens if you do). While the plot dragged on it was interesting listening to the characters. Each stuck with his personality and none were like listening to a brick wall.

Oh, sorry. I misunderstood your post. I thought you were smacking me for saying that the first enemies in Echo Zone were hard. I haven't gotten to Reality yet, that's #3 in the to-play queue. I'll let you know what I think of it when I get there :P

It's actually funny hearing a lot of people saying the very first part of the game is hard, but they're forgetting the one crucial part to success at that segment of the game; run! Ah well, I'll teach these kids what's what before the end of it all.

I did run.

Around the map. There's some single-tile paths and there's no way to get around the guards, forcing an encounter (it uses touch encounters, so an encounter can hog the entire passage). Its hard to run when there's nowhere to run to (or around).

What happened to Phylomortis?

Yeah, it was pretty pathetic hearing it. It was a pretty big waste too. On the good side, however...

Oh hell yes, thank you Feldschatch!

5. I changed the Window Skin since a lot of people thought it was to hard.

Thank you.

Also is the dialouge ok, I don't mean grammar or spelling errors but do they seem realistic

Some parts felt akward, some felt like they went through Blabblefish (see the Rebel line I mentioned like "I am a rebel, not that you now I must kill you!"). Other parts I felt were good. Its really a roller coaster ride for quality, some bad, some good (although to be honest there was more bad than good).

One thing I noticed is that the Agents are excons, but some didn't sound like it at all. Especially Agent 9. Maybe its the lack of dialogue for some (Agent... 4? The one at the end of the slime village place, but before you meet Agent 2), but some didn't feel liek they were once criminals at all. Maybe its a plot point for later though?

More Last Legend:

- Fighting the Shinih Beast, the message box appears on the top, covering part of the boss and Tyler, while the bottom of the screen is completely unoccupied. Is there any way to move the message box to where it isn't in the way?

I think the Shinih's AI is broken too. He didn't do anything for the second part of the fight, it was just Tyler+Sprint Shoes=MURDER.

- Any way to get back into the swamp? I missed a treasure when I left, couldn't go back until the scenario split, and now its... gone... :(

- After beating the Mega Mammoth (who got creamed), I can walk off the top of the hexagram and out the exit the MM made, skipping the ladder entirely.

- Issac's house's roof tile isn't done correctly right by the entrance on the left. (In fact there's a few houses with a similar error now that I notice it)

- I'm stuck in Yiffei's home town. I talked to Issac and Father Keith, but nothing seems to progress the game. Help please :(

Forum D&D Game (UPDATED: Finalized Details) JOIN NOW!

I got the 4e PHB a while back and been meaning to read it. I'll go for the Human Fighter, because that's what I started with D&D. Probably weilding a big stick because shields are for people who think AC matters. :P

Friday nights would be good for me (except this upcoming one). I'm usually home with nothing interesting happening.
