so up till now its something you like or made, but desn't tell anything about yourselves?

In this community. I don't know

In a lot of others it seems that avatars really show you who the trolls are.

avatars

I just like to choose something that shows some imagination. I think it suits being a member of a creative community. Can't remember a time I used an avatar that had anything to do with rpgs or gaming though.

Need Box Art?

*Starts designing a poster meant for putting on the windows of a video game store, even though my game will never be seen in a store.*

The Welp Advice Corner

"it's the fact that my name is shit in this community"

Looks to me like you hold a better track record than a lot of people, maintaining a score of 3 stars or better on most anything you took seriously. You have made a lot of things, at least that's consistency. I am yet to play through any of your games, but it will change.

Need Box Art?

??? What is this?

I am not trying to say anything bad about someone who is offering to help people, but doesn't it take even more time for someone to explain what they want and provide the images than it actually takes to do something like this?

It looks like what you are doing is taking an image of whatever a person wants and pasting the logo of the maker used in the layer above it. Which makes me wonder, what do you mean you don't work with RPG Maker 20XX Engine or RenPy yet? If you are in the mood for doing graphics, it probably can't be that hard to make some design that is suitable.

What was your game supposed to be?

As you know, I am not close to having anything complete here, but there have been many game ideas I have held on to for years and changed a lot. Ideally, I think huge factors in such drastic changes are feeling like the core ideas don't work as well as the creator hoped for, or simply the changes reflect on how this person has grown and now can do things better. Then, sometimes we can see this happen and maybe think the creator has no clue what he's doing.

Blasphemy! This philistine will have none of it.

P.S. I love the Cameo version of the song.

Sees original work first and knockoff later:
Well yeah, if I am basically getting the same thing as I experienced before and already liked. If it falls into realm of not being different enough, why would I care? Something that evolved to become enough of a new thing may get my attention.

Sees knockoff first and later finds original work:
Well, I understand what you say is a bit different where you see the new art first and the old art later. Still the level of difference is relevant. If it were like the exact same thing, I would probably think the new creation was pointless. I would likely gravitate to the old piece because it deserves the credit, and hell I am not getting anything different from this copycat thing anyway.

Heart of the issue is whether its different at all or a copycat. No one is wholly original, similarities between art is natural. Inspiration and education from art is natural. Some things are entirely plagaristic. With that being said, I hope you have a different idea of what I mean.

If the editing of art did not exist art itself would not literally exist.

And to whatever extent this is true, I am not bothered by most things I see created. If I am, I certainly would write that art/book/movie/song off. Most of the time it's different enough for me. I had something to say because in the case of the SD3 rip tracing, it did not feel different enough. She has come far enough with it I can say I am starting to like it.
