You all have no idea how glad you make me to be working on this game. I made a lot of new beds and all, but I don't want to make you feel like you have seen everything when this game comes out.

Lowering your standards and finishing your game

Nah, don't lower your expectations. Just try to accomplish a few small goals at a time be persistent.

Ex:
This week's small goal - Make a game better than chrono trigger.

I think the idea is cool, but I would have low expectations until theres something to show you can do this well.
You should try to show us how the gameplay will operate and some samples of the look of this game.

My nick stemmed from recording a song called Knights of the Living Dead. Since it was about undead knighthood and all that, my recording partner introduced me on the track as The Illustrious Duke Doobie G.
It was still a fresh song at the time I joined the rpgmaker community. The Illustrious was the first thing that came to mind when I had to make a user name for the forums. Soon after, I dropped "the" out of the name.

I continued to perform (at local bars) and put out music under that name for some years after.
