Is there any reason Pixel Game Maker is not talked about here?
I remember trying it during the free week, and I had only tinkered with it for maybe fifteen minutes and was sold on getting it.

I have no idea how these canoe problems keep popping up. I'm assuming you're using the most recent version, so I'll have to pick it apart again. All I could replicate at this part was being able to canoe out into the ocean, but not on land.
I also keep having the ship disappear on me at some point, but this could just be an old save.

I've been keeping an eye on this engine for quite some time myself, waiting for a big sale so that I could pick it up. I was under the impression it was easier to use for those of us who don't have the patience to learn scripting, but I haven't heard much of anything about the engine either. It's rather bizarre.
