Assembling the Void

The intro, and visual effects are pretty good, and I especially like the city. It feels alive, opposed to many cities in rpg maker games. One thing bothered me there, the exploration. It is too restricted (maybe necessary for the story hovewer, so not a big problem)...

So I liked the game. Then I reached the part where I had to fight two imps. The combat was not bad, And I am amazed, that one can actually create something like this, in rpg maker 2003.... But... The lag...
The lag is unbearable. I am sure, that the fps IS below 10, as are MANY, and Long lag spikes. Maybe the engine is not up to this task.

(ps: On my other pc, the result was even more lag. My pc can easily run gothic3 on high settings, so I am certainly SURE, that something is bad with this system.)

I could not play more, because of this. Otherwise, this would be a great game.

have you tried the Low Graphic settings in the option menu (accessed by the game menu (ESC-butotn)? this will help in most cases.

Anyway, I fixed a lot of lags currently, but the fixes have not made it to the downloadable version yet.

Let me know if that suggestions helped you or not. :)

I guess this is also a Windows compatibility issue. People could play it on high settings and record it with fraps without any issues.
I can run it on my Macbook with Windows XP in Virtual Box (had some lag issues on high settings but none on low settings).

I guess your maps are way too big. They lack of detail and don't look very comfortable.

If you want to improve your mapping skills I give you a little homework assignment.
Try to map the same map on a much smaller scale (like 50% of X and Y dimensions). but try to keep all the paths and directions and stuff as if nothing from the original map is missing, everything's just smaller. then add more doodads and share the result :)

My Gaming channel - New youtuber! (feedback needed)

I'd prefer when you start posting videos about RPG-Maker titles.

Thanks for the compliments. I added some more details:

The Screenshot Topic Returns

Early version of my desert tiles. Took me 3 hours to get that far.

Took me the whole evening to get this Puzzle done. But I am pretty satisfied with the difficulty. (Being not too hard and not too easy)

I rellay enjoys the colors and stuff, but personally, I'd try to have the same size for pixels in every object on the screen (they are bigger in the house and the clouds than the tree and the protag)

Also, @Itaju, I've never ever played such a minigame before, I'm kind of bugged because you said "Classic", is this present in every game that I have not played? @_______________@ It seems really fuuuuuuun! =D

I'd change the Layout from Hp999 / 999 to HP 999/999. Looks more sexy, with the spaces at the right places, believe me. :)

All in all I like that. You have some nifty space in the lower left for item description and such.

As for your question.
If I'm not mistaken those kind of puzzles seem to be in every Zelda game that far. Being in a dungeon, moving stuff around, hitting levers, etc.

The first classic puzzle in my game. Rotate the Mirrors to change how the plants behave.
