Nope, I have posted an image from a different part of the city (from the lower right corner)

The Screenshot Topic Returns

Working on a huge lost city.

This big map will be split in about 10-12 smaller maps and contain some kind of sewer levels.

Bajunica is the biggest city in the Thistle Swamp. Some time ago it lost to the constant attempts of the wilderness to take over the constructions. Now it is abandoned and up to you to discover its secrets.

Please no RM2k3 vs. the rest discussions this time. :)

One of the first bosses in my game. The location is not final. I think the outlines are still a bit too strong compared to the other sprites.

only main characters will have faces like that. right now I have animated faces for 4 characters, the full version of the game might have something around 10-15. npcs won't get faces at all

[2K3] Need help deciding on abilities

This kind of system is sexy if you use it on bosses that will defend for 1 or 2 rounds so you can build up instead of wasting your round by attacking.

if you die you will respawn at your last save point with minor money loss. you will only have to rewatch cutscenes right before boss battles.

anyway, I was able to manage to make the option that allows text to appear instantaneously durin Rm2k3 testplay to also work in game mode. don't worry about animations. if you skip a textbox, the animation is skipped as well (if you wondered why it took so long in the video: i just let the animations move a little bit for demonstration purposes :) )

Nope, I am not changing the dithering. Don't ask for it. :P

Dear C_C,

as you have given me so much feedback, i'd like to give you some as well. :)
I like the style of your artworks, as they have a very unique style that makes them distinguishable from other artists.

A problem that I see in this particular work might be the distraction off important parts by lesser important parts. I think the strongest attraction is being caused by the wrappings around the chest, the shoulderpad and the hair. But it should be the face and the body in its total. Maybe you should try to lighten up the areas. The left arm is hard to feel perspectively. At first I thought that the character holds is arm and hides the hand behind the wrapping. Now I can see that it's the hand with fingers, it just might not pop out good enough. Also, the blue paintings on the skin don't seem to harmonize too much with the skin patches nearby. It doesn't look like a union. Try to make the transition pretty smooth. I can see that the skin of your characters is much darker than the hair. This holds problems by looking at your character's heads. I don't think the problem is the dark skin (i'm not a racist, lol) but rather the bright hair.

Good work, though. Heads up. :) In Germany we say "Meckern auf hohem Niveau" - "lamenting on high level" - the meaning is: just to grump around details while the rest is perfect.
