I share the same thoughts on the humor in this game. I probably would have liked it when I was younger. And maybe I'll like it when I'm older! But for now, at least, I am at a stage where I found very few things funny. I will say I liked the timing involved in the old man swinging around on his bar stool to monologue~ but since the main draw of this game is the writing, that's not good enough!

I typed all that to make it seem as though there was some sort of point to this comment. There is not.
I just wanted to say I literally cannot believe there are people that did not like Barkley

i believe this is known as 'chekov's meat can' and xenogears failed to employ it spectacularly

didnt they had all those fruit vendors and stuff in the desert town and iirc didn't the party make a big deal about never having seen this supply of food that would turn out to be people/said it tasted weird or something.
