JPARKER1984'S PROFILE
Jparker1984
2008
Hello all, my real name is Jeromy. I'm a video game fan in general, but the way that RPG's make you feel sucked in to an alternate world easily make it my favorite genre (given that the story don't suck.) Aside from that I'm a father and a husband and I work my butt of to take care of my family. I love gaming, but family will always come before anything.
My favorite game... wow, that's a tough one. I'll just list a handful that I really enjoyed in no particular order. Only a handful though, there isn't enough space to list them all.
Disgaea 3 (PS3)
Final Fantasy 5 (SNES, PSX & GBA)
Final Fantasy 7 (PSX)
Dual Orb (SNES)
Breath of Fire 3 (PS & PSP)
Bahamut Lagoon (SNES)
Magic Knight Ray Earth (SNES & SATURN)
Everlong (RM2K3)
Enchanted Arms (PS3 & XBOX 360)
Jade Cocoon (PSX)

Noobie DynRPG question? Statistics related.
Hi everyone, now before I ask my question keep in mind I'm a noob with this kind of stuff.
Now, I see the buzz on DynRPG is getting big. I was wondering, can it change the max statistics of characters and monsters (HP, MP, Attack and so on?) I want to be able to do that. I'm trying to avoid using the David/Goliath patch (I don't like how it reduces the max AGI to 255.)
Thanks in advance for the help everyone, have a nice day.

My friends thoughts on old makers VS new ones.
Ok, I just had a talk with my friend and he said something that made me hardcore face-palm myself. He asked me why I still use RM2K3 and I said "Because it's what I'm most used to." Then he said....wait for it......"You should switch to a new one, because with the newer engine, your game will be better." I almost had no reply to his statement, however I did say this. "The engine itself, will not insure your game will be good."
Your thoughts are very welcomed and I do intend to show him the results of this topic.

Stat reducing magics (RM2K3)
I was wondering, you know how in the Pokemon games after you use a stat reducing skill on an opponent so many times, it wont let you lower that stat anymore? Well, is there a way to replicate that in RM2K3? I would love to use those type of skills, but not if I cant change it so players (or monsters) don't spam the skill. Thanks in advance for the assistance.
Im looking for a marsh / swamp type forest chipset (RM2K3)
Not sure what else to say, Im looking for a marsh / swamp type forest chipset (RM2K3). Can some one hook me up with something or a link maybe. I uses the Mac & Blue tiles, so try to make it match to that as much as you can. Thanks in advance for the help.
People complaining about a half ass / bad review
I was just reading a few reviews were the person reviewing the game was a complete jack ass and just really half assing it. Which, is annoying and dumb. However, who on here really takes those people seriously?
Also, you got those people that write a seaming nice review, yet highly inaccurate. Its like they didn't really play the game, but wanted to say "Hey look at me, I wrote a review."
Either way, that brings me to my point of posting this. I hate how when people get one and or both of those types of reviews and they get all mean, nasty and defensive. I mean really, if you honestly felt that it was a crap review, why are you even wasting your time replying. If you think about it, by replying you are only getting down to their level and proving that your a cry baby.
EDIT: Now, let me clarify something. Replying with disagreement and being a cry baby about it are two different things.

When is RMVX Ace coming out?
I'm not sure if I just haven't been paying attention or I just suck at searching Google (a bit of both I'm sure.) I was wondering if anyone knows anything about a full English version of RMVX Ace.
just curious about the .XYZ game protection thing
I remember a few years ago, seeing a program that converts resources to .xyz (for RM2K/3) so that the game is playable, but cant be opened in the editor. Where would I be able to find that, thanks.
Oh, and please. No trolling about "Oh why would you do that, no one cares. Your game is nothing....blah blah blah."
I stumbled across and old forum post three years ago at RPG Revolution asking the same thing and a lot of %&*#$'s decided to be dumb and go totally away from my question. So please, not trolling.

Colored Treasure Chests As A Gift To You All (RM2K3)
I know this isn't a big huge contribution or anything , but I wanted to share it with you all anyway. It's a full re-color character set of the RTP treasure chest (I did mod it SOME, the stripes are now grey.) No credit needed as I really didn't do much, have fun if you choose to use it. Have a good day / night everyone.

I want to thank MaxMcGee
Not including my real life friends, Max McGee has been a huge driving force for my RPG creation. I love his games, how professorial he is (as professional as you can be with RM.) You can tell that he really enjoys RPG Maker, one of the best on here. After my review of his game Mage Duel Extreme, I asked him if he would test my game for me and he said yes, I was honored. I got his first thoughts and they were more to the negative side, but he was really cool about it.
Most people would have quit after hearing that, but not me. I took his words and I plan to run with them as far as I can. I am re-doing my intro, all my game text up to the current point because he inspired me to do so. Sure, I know what some of you may be thinking "Its just RM, not that big of deal" Well, it kinda is to me.
Long story short, thanks Max McGee for lending a hand.

Is the a text cut off line program for RM2K3
Im sure many have wondered this (not sure if they asked), but is the a way to show a line or something in the message box that shows how far you can type before it cuts the text off? I remember there being one back in the day for RM2K. It was a .exe replacement, so a hack I guess you could say. None the less, thanks in advance for the help.
