Hello all, my real name is Jeromy. I'm a video game fan in general, but the way that RPG's make you feel sucked in to an alternate world easily make it my favorite genre (given that the story don't suck.) Aside from that I'm a father and a husband and I work my butt of to take care of my family. I love gaming, but family will always come before anything.

My favorite game... wow, that's a tough one. I'll just list a handful that I really enjoyed in no particular order. Only a handful though, there isn't enough space to list them all.

Is it possible to create the ever so famous Lv5 Death skill?

I have a boss I want to give that skill to, but can't figure out how to replicate it. For RMVX Ace.

Need help finding good music that has proper looping

As of now I'm using commercial game music, but all the MP3's I have don't loop right and have the few seconds of silence before starting again... I hate that. Can someone point me in the direction of music WITHOUT that problem. I'm looking as large of packs as possible, I don't care if it's commercial or original. Thanks.

[RMVX ACE] how do you create spells that add element properties to weapons in battle.

How would I go about making a spell that will turn a party members basic weapon into a say, fire basic weapon. But if I cast a different spell it over rides the current element for the new one. Kind of like the old final fantasy games.

[RMVX ACE] Help with HP recovery items??????

Ok, weird issue. I made a potion that is to restore 30% of the characters HP. I put restore 30% HP in the effects box (above where you post notes.) Well, it works but if I use it in battle it wont show the green numbers of the amount healed like my skills do.

So I try using the formula box, and that will show the green numbers in battle but I cant figure out how to heal by % with the formula box, it's driving me crazy. Please tell me this is an easy fix and Im just missing something obvious.

[Poll] Is making resources fun even if you don't use them?

For pretty much no reason I started work on a resource pack for VX/Ace in snes style. Using rips from games styled like Final Fantasy 4 an 5. I most likely won't use them myself but for some reason I find it fun to put together mass resources like monsters, battle animations, character sets an so forth. What is it that makes it fun? Is it just me or do you guys like making resources for no real reason as well?

I'm at the tail end of FF9... it's kicking my ass!

So I'm at the last three bosses of the game. My party is Zidane lv69 (his trance skills are crazy strong), Vivi lv58 (you have to have a good caster), Eiko lv56 (I think she is a better healer then Garnet, cuz Garnet don't have full life) and Steiner lv60 (him and Vivi equal lots of damage.) I can't get past Deathguise, he destroys me each and every time. Are there any strategies I should use.

EDIT: It used Meteor and that will one shot Vivi and Eiko!

[Poll] I got an idea for the next SMBX community game!

I see that the community SMBX games have been getting better game by game and they look great, but Mario has been loved for many many years making it a classic. So why not treat it as such. I think a game in complete retro style would be great as a tribute of sorts. I'm talking music, graphics, limiting the fancy gimmicks and all that. Just a straight on classic that we all fell in love with in the first place. I got this idea while busting out my old fat game boy and playing Mario Land 2. I think the project can proceed rather fast in comparison, depending how long it would take to compile the classic graphics. So, is anyone else on board?

Here's a partial Pokemon resource pack for RPG Maker VX Ace.

A few months ago I started work on a Pokemon resource pack for RPG Maker VX Ace, but I had since stopped working on it. The reason is because I stumbled upon this wonderful looking script called "Pokemon Crystal Engine" by crystalnoel42, here's the link http://crystalnoel42.wordpress.com/.
