The author who made Chrono Alter and Prelude will be coming back

Though he said he does not want to be associated with those projects anymore, and wishes to do a completely new chrono game. The decision was made because he was not satisfied with his old work of alter, and could make better use of continuity.

His new game will cover aspects from trigger to cross. He has all the visual stuff down thanks to previous assets that he will be using that came from prelude, and will not include anything from alter at all, so it saves him alot of work and more flexibility I believe.

He will be under a new alias and studio, so expect him to see him around in the future.

P.S.
He hopes you all still enjoy shitty fan games of the good chrono community. :P (though I found his games good)

I've done my part to get the hype started. You all read it here first.

EDIT:
Forgot to mention the other team behind Chrono Shift is not dead, they are still working on it.

Is there any RPG games out there that look like the ones from the Sega Saturn (l'll explain)

DELETED-

Sorry my laptop is being a punk right now.

Is there any RPG games out there that look like the ones from the Sega Saturn (l'll explain)

Basically any criteria if any exist out there in RMN or beyond the website:

1.) Paper dolls, I think it wasn't consider true 3D models. Shining Wisdom had this I think.
2.) Anime-2D looking characters, the 90s look.
3.) Mix of 2D and 3D such as Shining the Holy Ark.

I hope I explained it well, if I didn't, basically are there RPG games out there that emulate such as the following:
Shining Wisdom
Shining the Holy Ark
Magic Knight Rayearth (I loved the 90s sprite-work back then).

Basically 3D/2D of their day that anyone has attempted to copy the authentic look back then for Japanese RPG games of the 90s belonging to the Sega Saturn system. (Come to think of it, I don't think I've seen anyone here on RMN used those sprites for their games..maybe except one on here, but not sure).

Maybe that's just my nostalgia talking. I personally think 90s art/spritework at the time to be of better quality.

I have some disappointing news regarding Final Fantasy VI

author=Link_2112
Someone just made a topic about this like yesterday...

Wasn't aware, didn't see it.

I have some disappointing news regarding Final Fantasy VI

They are going to bring it over to android and iOS. It's going to look just as crappy as FFV-HD port and won't be much change to the monster designs either and character designs are just gonna look like ****.

Other news they want to remake FF-IV TAY in 3D..(what is their damn fetish with IV?)

I bet the new CEO and Toriyama aka Jackass is behind this. I can't defend Toriyama anymore knowing he's part of the problem.

Why your name?

Mine has a abit of history behind it, it used to be Kalisto back in the day around 2004-2007 if I recall then I eventually changed it to Kaliesto.

I was known as a special-boss player in a Byond.com Megaman X game, I was called Kalisto the Blue Lightning, I was a clone of Zero with blue/black/gray/green colors. (EDIT: Ray wasn't my boss that gave me this position, I was part of another MMX game before RayquazaChampion). I forget my Master's name that turned me into that character, hope he is doing well anyway. There was this guy Bolt-Dragon he was pretty much my MMX/FF partner in byond.com. We were like a duo in a way.

The Admin of another MMX game which was abit later, RayquazaChampion was my boss for this particular MMX game, he was hard to get along with due to his moments of insanity that comes out of nowhere. The kid had alot of problems though because of some real life issues he was having, probably made him unstable because of home-situation. Hope the kid is alright these days, I lost complete contact with him when Byond.com was dying out due to the internet evolving. The last I seen of him was a few years ago when I was paying Byond.com a visit to see if the niche community was still around, he made a new MMX game, but it quickly died it out seemed, guess it was destined to not survive.

Those were my better days, hell of alot more fun than it is now on the internet. Lol we even had rival wars became another guy named ZeroVirus and MegamanVirus, oh god the chaos at the time was hilarious and there always dumb conspiracies going on. We even had a incident that a former co-admin(MMV or ZV, not sure) banned my boss from his own game, hilariousness ensued after. Man WAS HE PISSED.

When I tried to play their games on byond, Ray would think I was with the enemy or something lol. At this point I had enough and ended up being a double-triple agent for these guys just for the LuLz of it.

EDIT: By the way, I know some people here probably were on Byond at some point. So you all might have seen me make the rounds back then, I was a mischievous kid back then. My very first username was Warrior101 and I used to play the Dragon Quest games on there..btw if you choose to go there and see a guy named Soda, tell him I said hi if he still plays the DQ games. Assuming he still goes by that alias.

What Final Fantasy Monster was your favorite?

author=eplipswich
Never mind.

?

A thought about the RMN Mario Bros with Link in it..why not start a Zelda II Event?

So it was already planned, nice! Hopefully something will come out of it.

(I definitely see some people making I'AM ERROR jokes).

What Final Fantasy Monster was your favorite?

Well ok, will make the topic about all monsters from any game. :P

(for people who want to discuss other monsters). Let's keep on-topic for the most part though or else the topic will become very misleading. Something from here and there is fine, but don't go overboard.

A thought about the RMN Mario Bros with Link in it..why not start a Zelda II Event?

I think it could work and especially with the RMN-bros engine itself if one tinkers around with it and transform it into a Zelda-II type engine with the creator's permission or just make the engine from scratch.

Zelda-II type adventures....I don't think anyone has ever tried to attempt to make those except for someone trying to make a 3D-demo of it a long while back. It would be really cool to see what RMN community could make out of it. Zelda II doesn't get alot of love being the blacksheep of the Zelda games, but it was pretty fun in it's own unique way.

(I probably not the only one whose brought this up in RMN am'I)?
