Anyone curious what will happen to forums since Discord has become such a big thing now?

Let's break the silence. This game is almost finished.

You worked really hard on this, you deserve a vacation when this is released.

Congrats UPRC.

Coldsteel the Edgeheg is now canon, Sega has open the tenth gate!

All this talk gave me a idea for a unique event, but how about a voice acting event? The only thing is that everyone on RMN will need to choose one specific game that they wish to have voice acting in it since we all know how text heavy RM games tend to be.

It would be cool to see "Devil Hunter - Seeker of Power" get that upgrade.

Another benefit would be having amateur voice acting on your resume.

How would everyone like to do a RPG Maker Event for Dragon Quest? It would be based on how Dragon Quest VII did their world setup, so everyone would be able to throw something in to fit the story without much hassle. They can also craft their own story for their specific country trapped in darkness. The major development would obviously be setting up a Demon Lord to tie it all together.

I would actively encourage throwing in all the Demon Lords from past games as bonus battles after you beat the game, and one original Demon Lord for post-game as extra story.

Personally maybe there might be development hell that could happen, but this would be a awesome event.

So here is a question, what was the most edgelord RPG maker game you ever played? Though we don't get those often anymore; that was like last decade.

I started reminiscing about my old "Legends of Destinies" story from middle school and had an almost manic-like impulse to go on and remake the game using RM2K, but I couldn't find the documents that bore the story. Not that it was much, but those documents went all the way back to 2003 when I wrote them in keyboarding class and somehow saved them and brought them back home.

Oh tee ell

It would've been a dumb game anyway, and not worth the investment of spriting charsets for.

I'm still trying to locate some game called Legend..destiny something or other, the only thing I remember is the hero was the typical bandanna guy, but he looked more mature, and he used a boomerang as a weapon. The starting town had a piano where you could play midi music..

It is such a old series which had it's own website, but never made it to RMN.

Oh well, Arc the Lad has pretty much faded from most people's minds by now.
curiously i started playing it for the first time a week ago on my phone and god is it a bad game.

You end up with a shit ton of characters who wont do anything because you end up placing them in a conga line in most maps with the character who can move the most siphoning all the exp because he's the only one that can attack. Wizard dude runs out of mp very early and there are no mp recovery items or magic. What the fuck is Chongara even supposed to do, his summons SUCK. Like i'm really hoping the second game improves everything by the truckload because the first one is painful to play.

Actually Arc the Lad I is basically a prologue for the real thing, Arc the Lad II is way more better with new stuff to do! The point of the series is basically being tactical, and shaping up your party because you won't be using every character in the long run. In II you will eventually start recruiting monsters into your ranks as optional allies, and you can take them to a arena (which is on a separate disc) for extra rewards.

Arc the Lad III will basically start you over with new characters, but any skills, completion data, lvls, and other neat things will carry over. It will also unlock extra scenarios that can only be seen if you have completion of Arc the Lad II. But anyway..choose wisely who you're going to train because they will be your heavy hitters when you reach the true final boss.

Also don't worry if you're under leveled because the game actually scales with you for only certain situations, and even the final boss scales with the highest level character, the downside is if you only trained one character, and the rest is weak then you're in for a hell of a ride, but USUALLY if you're one high level character is pretty damn strong in weapon/armor/stats then you have nothing to worry about, but it will just make the battle longer than necessary.

The series has it's issues, but overall the games are actually pretty good once you know how to play it, my only gripe with Arc the lad I&II is the constant battles, and that can get tedious.
