What are you thinking about right now?

Playing FFXIV I've come to realize I have a love/hate relationship with this game, I do love some of the hardcore gaming as much as the casual to it...but

Sometimes I think Yoshi P. needs to chill with the masochist shit, one in particular being Heaven on High.

Seriously, he thought it was a good idea to have that kind of setup for a solo run? There is a good reason very few people ever completed Palace of the Dead and Heaven on High. Sometimes I really think Yoshi P. is a total hack of a Developer that takes the Masochist way out for most of his content and especially Savage Raids which can be ridiculous at times.

Anyone know of some RMN games with a 80s Cyberpunk theme to it?

oops double post!

What are you thinking about right now?

I like RMN for the fact almost nobody never really gets banned here for all sorts of discussions..well except for those who really go out their way to get banned lol

Come to find out the artist behind the Langrisser Series and other video game series also did some...dirty stuff on the side.

OH MY.jpg

Kind of reminds me what happen to that one series that was for MEGA,SEGA CD...I can't remember the name atm.

Who's banging who?

I think it's been said in the SNES game that was a mistranslation for LTTP, I never seen the manga so I can't say for sure. As for Cloud and Tifa, JRPGs tend to reflect some culture concerning how love is handled in Japan as they always make it really really subtle in SE games except on rare occasions like FFX.

When Advent Children came out, they made it pretty subtle between Cloud & Tifa feelings for eachother.

Commercial Games That "Take A While To Get Good"

The key to a good RPG is having a good budget it seems to extend as much time as possible to create said RPG. Least that is more true than it used to be in the past since games back then were way less complicated to make HOWEVER they still had a lot of hardware & software issues which today is no longer a real issue.

Biggest trade off is graphics take longer now but software/hardware being no longer a pain in the ass, last I heard that hand animations which was a blight on creating character movements via mocap or other movement suits was just recently fixed.

Also speaking of tutorials, I always hated them in RPGs and anything else as I feel the best experience is finding out for yourself unless there needs to be said instructions for certain sequences.

Btw when it comes to Square Enix Games, I think the issue with them is mostly with Final Fantasy all except FFXIV in recent years. They tend to make their FF games way too easy and even back then some of it was easy if you knew what you were doing. I mean I love the stories but their battles leave something to be desired as I only ever felt threatened with super bosses or those one off enemies that can mess you up.

Old/Lost RpgMaker Games - SegNin's Rare/Obscure RM Games Request Topic

I can add light on Legend of Zelda The Fallen Sage, the reason the original author took it down because he didn't like certain aspects of his first attempt and the story in his mind wasn't terribly good.

Also his other Zelda Game (Time's Menagerie?) was also taken down few years back which used to be on a Zelda Wiki until apparently they ended up getting some official connections with Nintendo that turned it into a official wiki (or so I read somewhere) and had to take down anything to do with Fanon material (or least that is what I know).

Right now undyingnephalim is currently putting all of his original creations into a Zelda Mod for a specific strategy game out there (which has been ongoing for many years now). So it is very very unlikely he will provide the older works, and last that I knew that nobody has a trace of the original files as those files were effin' huge.

Btw..I'm surprised someone still had a copy of Dragon Quest IV - Renaissance, thought that particular demo was lost forever.

So I have been on a writer's block for the longest time, and I finally found some small inspiration for a idea that has not been tried yet in JRPGs (least I hope not anyway). Right now I'm fleshing out the background story which ends up me creating another layer, and then another layer for it to make sense.

It's hard to come up with something semi-original when most things have been done to death in JRPGs lately, and unless you want to count Anime into the original idea count.

I like the idea of Music Packs being more of a thing on RMN, I'm curious to see how many can do SEGA CD quality music as it is so underrated.

By SEGA CD Quality, I'm aware that some games used actual musical instruments but there was some that used kind of program I think that was pretty consistent in the sound across some of the games during that time period.
