Karsu's Sketch Topic

Thanks for the interest! And nice job spotting the connection between asspear and my women. =)

Although this is an old topic, I do plan on adding more stuff soon/making a new one. I haven't had much time to draw recently, and am rather out of it. But I'll see what I can do!

LINE'S END

Don't hold your breath, people. =)

And you are...? (THE INTRODUCTION THREAD)

Akane, take a look at:

Blurred Line by Lysander
Kinetic Cipher (Again) by Brickroad
Legacies of Dondoran by Harmonic
Hero's Realm by kentona
Three the Hard Way by iishenron
Love and War by AdmiralStyles
Master of the Wind by ArtBane
The Frozen World by Lysander (WIP will love you)

There are other games worth playing of course, but these are some good starting points. Also, one I recommend that is NOT on this site is:

Last Scenario by Origami. (Fairly easy to find with Google)

[DESIGN] World Maps - how do you go about them?

That IS an awesome world map, Kentona.

Team Project

If you're recruiting people, I suggest you post any examples of previous work you have. That way people will be more apt to jump in with you.

Because, let's admit it, most games never get finished.

Anyway, good luck!

What inspired your RPG?

Probably the biggest inspiration for making LoD1 and LoD2 is to create something along the lines of those games, but do it myself so I can determine every last thing about them, which was something I DREAMED of doing every day as a young teen playing those for the first time.

And I thought it was all about the women!

Anyway!

For my current game, inspiration definitely comes from cop/law dramas and detective/gangster movies. There's also a bit of Lovecraft, conspiracy theory and 1984/V for Vendetta-esque social order thrown in.

As if it wasn't obvious, the protagonist of my game is a cop and it follows a sort of episodic police format, going by cases.

As for making games in general, I rarely go out of my way looking for inspiration, even if my current game is heavily inspired by various things. Especially if it's typical fantasy stuff. I have loads of ideas, and I can whip up stuff pretty quickly with or without inspiration, though it is always nice to be inspired.

Hell's Tooth

Post is ancient. Probably not worth reviving it unless the guy posts again.

Are you a good artist willing to help?

You need to post more about your projects or few people will be willing to help you. Also, yeah, suddenly canceling previous projects looks bad.

Anyway, I'd hardly call myself a good artist, but I'll take a pass on this.

RPG Maker VX Information Website

I'm actually considering starting my new project on this, assuming I can prepare modern/futuristic graphics for it. It really sounds like it'd take less time then working with 2k3.
