KNIGHTOWL'S PROFILE

Just an aspiring game designer. I've played video games since I was little and recently have gotten to the point of 'it would be so cool if this was like this' or 'if there were more options to customize this, it would be amazing', add that on top of getting ideas for games randomly and I figured I'd try my hand at making my own.

My favorite types of games tend to be:

1. Dungeon-crawling, with an emphasis on fun battles and customization with difficulty selection.

2. Horror-type games, it was awesome to see RPG Maker even capable of making games like these.

Extreme Mode boss fights

Wow these are great. :D You make extreme mode look easy. XD The fight with Caelia looked pretty epic. And you didn't even need to summon a pet to help! xD Thanks for sharing! :3
Did you take any vids of (spoilder)
Shadow Alkaiser?

I see you don't have much curse resistance, I could only imagine how that fight went. xD If not that's fine, though! :3 Thanks for the vids!

I just finished Extreme. The only real boss I had to use healing for was Caelia who was very hard. I'll upload some videos later. Nice job with the game!

Congrats! :D And wow you sound like an awesome player. XD I hope you enjoyed it! :3 And that would actually be awesome, I'd love to watch them. Thank you very much. :D

Remember the bug when receiving the limit of Mari?
The same happened when receiving the second limit of Dante. The demon is healed afterwards.
Is it possible, that fire-resistent monsters can be debuffed with fire-weakness but with no effect?

Yeah, I thought about that after I fixed the first one, I'm sorry you had to go thru that again. D: But I fixed both of them. I'll upload the (hopefully) final, fixed version sometime next week or so. Do let me know if anything else is off! :3 It's really helpful. Thanks for playing~
And fire weakness makes them 25% more vulnerable to said element. So if they resisted fire by 50%, it would only let them resist it by 25%. So they would still resist it, but to a lesser effect.

I understand now your summon concept.
When summoning only one pet per battle, the pet stays the whole battle even when the summoner dies.
When trying to summon two or more the pets vanish after some actions.

Another bug:
When fighting the evil trap chest for the first time (esp. on extreme mode), the damage dealt with Mari's Limit is healed completely after learning it. On extreme mode that's frustrating.

Yeah, the pet stays when the summoner dies, sort of makes it easy so you dont have to keep reviving people AND then resummoning the pet back. x3

And I see! D: I'm sorry for that. I'll add that to the list of things to fix.
How is your extreme mode playthrough going besides that, though? Is the difficulty alright/is it fun? x3

Hmm.. Something seems off about these stairs :D

I'm not sure how to get back to the beach area after teleporting out. I just beat the eye thing and then teleported to buy items.

Those stairrrrs. >__>

But can't you warp back using the warp crystal in town?

I got another bugged hex on the floating islands when replaying.
It's the far south-east one. The bug happens when getting the reward. (this line 87 error)
I wanted to train a bit to defeat the boss there on extreme mode.
For now those two are killing me a bit too early.

And the earth summon monster only attacks 2x when summoned - so it's useless. It should remain like the fairy and attack/buffs randomly. And it's now invisible, too.
For now I use the TP for the limit.

Is it normal that revived characters are invisible until the next turn and why are they killed right after reviving (most of the time)?

Alrighty I'll fix that really quick. Sorry! D:

And I believe the earth summon might have only attacked twice due to Kestral possibly dying? The summons stop attacking when their summoner is dead. Was that the case?

And yes, that's the best way I could set up the character graphics for the battle. ^^; It serves it's purpose well enough, I thought, for being a system that's mostly unique in that aspect.

And second summon in the first version? Well I didn't change any summoning things so I'll still check it out. :3 Thanks~!

I did something in battle, and now this little guy is hanging out permanently in the middle of my screen:

Well that's definitely weird... At least he's keeping you company! XD I think it should fix itself thankfully the next time you enter into a battle, but by chance do you know where that happened? o:

==

EDIT: Okay! I believe I fixed both the Windsol Valley bottom right hex and the pets sticking around after battle. I should have known better then to say its 99.99% error free. XD But thank you for your patience and letting me know about these things! :3

And no worries on the download, I made it easier on you, you can just download the patch fix really quick! ^^

Prom Dreams: A High School Love Story

This game is really unique. I must admit, I -almost- didn't play through the second part of it, I thought it was a glorified New Game +. But then I decided "Ah heck" and when I found out it was so much more, I was surprised.
Not to mention the title screen changing as you go through the game? Epic. xD
Took me about 11 Hours to complete, myself, and I felt so smart figuring out the puzzles at the end.

Thank you for the awesome game! :D I've been suggesting this to a few friends, even.

Three of the hexes in the first area give you the same battle when replaying (though they work correctly the first time). They are the ones on the main path, all past the first one.

In the shadow land, first hex to the right causes a game error when replayed.

Alrighty, thank you very much. x3 I'll see if I can fix that really quick, then redo the download and add another blog post. xD You've been very helpful. :3

EDIT 2: Script line error "unable to find" line 87 name error occurred uninitalized constant audio UTFSEXT This came up when i said no to a second battle (i think)

I'm super sorry about that! D: Could you let me know which battle this happened on? O: I'll try to find out what battle it was by going off of what beast tamer skills you have so far and see if I can find it now, though.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game! :3 Thank you. I tried my best to make it as fun as possible. I hope alot of people try my game and enjoy it as well! x3
It's always fun to hear what class combinations people are using too. xD

author=EdgeOfChaos
Liam in first town says that Easy mode reduces enemy stats by 75%. This would mean they have only 25% of their normal stats. I'm pretty sure this isn't what you mean.

Looks like a good game so far. I like the class system, reminds me of Final Fantasy.

Ah! Thanks for that. ^^; I'll fix it straight away! :3

Thank you very much. :3 Hope you enjoy it!

Hello.
It`s a really great game .14 -15 hours at least for me,and level 99.:) .I take my time and all the classes and so was so great fun to play around with.
I wonder
you should return the sunstone, what that means?I went back to the village and he gave me a special skill but the stone reamains in the inventory. What have i missed?

The battle balance was good and so all the skills i think. My beast tamer had 24 skills. This is better than many commercial games i think. The whiskers could be stronger and so with some skills maybe but its good the it are now
The Arcane nov
a and Triple thrust one hit killed the most of the enemy and makes it alot faster in battles.
Maybe i was little overlevled but i could`nt avoid it.What level do you had in mind for the players when they came to the end?
Thanks again for letting us play this for free.I could easily spend some money on it.
Yes,i get the true ending and another. It was nice.

Thank you. :3 And nice, glad to hear it lasted a decent length.
And ah! I'll fix that straight away, I"m sorry, I must have ordered the events wrong, there.
For the end of the game, meaning the final boss, I was thinking level 60-70, and for the final optional boss, lvl 95+ Of course these levels vary greatly depending on difficulty, if the game ever seemed too easy, that was there to help. x3
But thanks! :3 I'm glad my game was of some nice quality. I'm not too great at stories or endings but I did the best I could there.

And congrats on getting the true ending! :D

The skill learning system is incredibly addictive. I can't remember the last time I had this much fun with an rpg maker game. The battlers various art styles clash, but it doesn't particularly ruin the experience for me. There's something to be said for the simple joy of building a custom character while punching monsters in the face.

Glad to hear you're having fun with it! :3
And yeah I sort of figured, but it was also sort of interesting to me to see various monsters from different rpg maker versions together, in a way. xD

But definitely. That's one of the main draws of the game, haha. ^^
