Just an aspiring game designer. I've played video games since I was little and recently have gotten to the point of 'it would be so cool if this was like this' or 'if there were more options to customize this, it would be amazing', add that on top of getting ideas for games randomly and I figured I'd try my hand at making my own.
My favorite types of games tend to be:
1. Dungeon-crawling, with an emphasis on fun battles and customization with difficulty selection.
2. Horror-type games, it was awesome to see RPG Maker even capable of making games like these.

Victor's Damage Popup - Need Help
So I'm using Victor's Damage Popup script. As found here...
( Tested on a completely new project with just Victor's Basic Engine + Damage Popup script, results remain the same )
What I'm having a problem with, is on Line 286, where you can customize the 'wait' feature. I want to use the 'Random' option to make the text randomly go off to the right or left. So I put 'True' for random. This causes the error:

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Started playing this. The class system is neat.
Did I just overlook it, or is there not some kinda Inn or similar service around town?
There's no need for an Inn, as you can buy tents pretty much dirt cheap for the function of an Inn wherever you want. I figured adding in an Inn as well would be redundant. xD

Wow, thank you for the quick answers! :3 I just have a few more questions that follow them, just to be sure.
- Oh, so there really is a Ring of Air O: Uh, where do you use the thunder ring then? I don't believe I ever found a thunder temple. That would be awesome.
- I found Barbara once after she kidnaps the mayor, on Sister Lidy's island, and she had cobolds with her. I let her escape, do I see/find her again where she's with the Lion King? I thought I read earlier on the comments that you don't find her again after that? O:
- Hm any hints on which forest it might be? If not, that's fine, I can try them each til I get it. xD

O: Both the first time I've played and this time, when I enter her room, she says something, then runs at me, and everytime she runs into me I take damage without battling, and the only thing I can see to do is set the place on fire, which doesn't give me any of those options. :c

It's probably been a while since any questions but I'm gunna ask some anyway since I recently decided to replay this awesome game and forgot some things/never figured some stuff out. It would really be great to be able to find more things to do if there are any.
- Where is the Ring of Wind/Air? I tried to get into the Temple of Air, and I've done it on my first playthru forever ago so I know I can, but I don't remember where I got the ring. I didn't get any ring of wind/air in this playthru, I thought the Thunder Ring worked to get me inside, but no. It's in my inventory, unequipped and all but the door acts like I don't have any key for it. It was my favorite summon since it was multi-target, too.
- Where are the scenarios involving the witch? I only see her once, and that's in East Aldi with Tomas and Jana. Is she anywhere else doing her own evil deeds?
- Where is the Lion King after you fight him the first time outside Helkine Town for the canyon key? He says you'll meet him again but I can't find him.
- I cannot for the life of me find the Secret Cave. In the walkthru, the Mythril Gun and Armor are in there which would be a GREAT addition to Rick, but I never can find it.
- Do you ever find the Maid after she runs off from East Aldi? Do you ever find anything to do with Count Folarin after you go thru his Manor, besides the fight in Minion Tower?
- Is there any scenario for the demon-looking guy besides the fight in Minion Tower? Or is that the only time you see/fight him?
- Is there a Mythril Saber for Sibel?
- Is there a point to going back to the pirate hideout to 'deal' with the pirate leader besides making the hideout unaccessable anymore? It doesn't appear to do anything besides close out a dungeon that you could just leave open otherwise, as you don't get anything from it?
Sorry it's alot of questions, but it would be great to play out even more of this great game. :3

You learn the code after you beat the postgame. It's a little thing I added in so if you want to replay the game, you get access to all postgame features in the forest right from the beginning if you wanted.
The Future of Soma Spirits
Difficulty modes yesss I've always thought it was a bit on the easy side.
Postgame content I'm all for, was excited to see that there was a new game+ boss.
Even more interesting, post game dungeons that unlock based on what you do, like 2-3 or so based on your path. Random idea.
But otherwise, awesome news. Soma Spirits is addictive and I can't wait to see it expanded upon. :3

Game Balance; Noctis Arrives!
Feedback
This is surprisingly addictive , to me, but I've had a softspot for rpg maker xp games.
Also, i couldnt find the dancing feather. Where is it? XD
Suggestive feedback;
- Possibly make some of the areas 'later' areas, like half of them to be completed after the first half with the levels/equips in mind? Everything being generally the same makes it just get easier and easier without a challenge once you get to a certain point, and a boost in money/exp as you get to harder stuff would be nice
- Take out the chest keys in the shop. It's good to chest key hunt from enemies and then open chests for the rewards, but when you get 1000g, you can buy 10 keys, and get at least one ring you can sell to get 10 or more keys and then it just is a chore to repeat that til you have enough money for everything.
- Possibly also make any 'higher level' area chests give different rewards or a higher chance of better armor/weapons? or different colored chests blocked by monsters but give better stuff? all chests giving the same thing is somewhat dull, but the chest aspect in itself is neat still.
- take out the bronze equipment from chests? Never can understand what the point of getting equipment everyone already starts with from a chest. If it's for money just give the money instead.
If I think of anymore I'll let you know. :3

I liked the skill system and I liked the crafting... but the one character always referring to herself in the third person annoyed the hell out of me.
Eh a risk I got to take, :P Figured it went with her background story and it made her unique, however annoying XD /shrug

All kidding aside, I hope you enjoy my game as much as I enjoyed yours. I'm taking some extra time to add in a little more razzle dazzle and improve some of the mapping, but I'm almost done. I should be done by the end of the year at the latest as long as things go according to plan. Thanks for the comment, bud!

But yeah, personally for me I'm so easily distracted I'm surprised I completed the game I made. Right now I'm half working on another one, but keep playing other games instead xD
