[MAFIA] The Salem Witch Trials of November
its impact isn't purely statistical, however. if the brothers are out in the open, we have someone we can trust to give frank opinions and directions without a hidden agenda. the point isn't just to bolster the odds - it's to start getting the village organized, informed, and moving in the same direction (provided at least one of the brothers can provide adequate leadership)

what if we enact both proposed plans so as to confirm as many innocents as possible? on some level i think that we'd benefit more from the added organizational power than from trying to protect vitiated power roles.
also
if the witches false-claim, the real brothers can counter-claim and put the witches in a dangerous position. i really don't see them trying to pull that stunt.

The brothers would probably stay alive, since the mafia would then know who NOT to kill and aim for people who are more likely to be important. But hey, I suppose in the end it's up to the "brothers" to decide.
one would expect they'd go straight for the brothers. having a confirmed innocent so early in the game would strengthen the town's organizational power considerably, and the witches would be foolish to let us get away with that.

hey shinan next time you try to impersonate an honest, god-loving puritan, maybe you should take into account that protestants don't speak fucking latin you godless hag or possible catholic scum
post=Kitsune Infernothis makes a lot of sense to me. at the very least i think it's a good starting point. does anyone see any reason why we shouldn't follow through on this?
Anyways, as I said, it's nothing but advantageous to the town if Ezekiel and Herrick come forth.
-It gives us two innos
-It allows the lynch more accuracy
-It allows the cop more accuracy
-It gives the angel two safe options tonight
But now this may sound a little harsh but...
-It buys the cop and angel two more days of time, as it gives the witches two confirmed townies to burn through instead.

regardless of shinan's motive for asking, it's an important question and i'd like to hear the answer as well.

post=Solitayrequoting for truth. this has been the case in every game so far, especially the last one when screwed ourselves over by lynching our angel day 1. since the last game the scum have become even stronger thanks to their new role-blocker, while the village is weakened by a more limited angel and a potential traitor. since experience and statistics agree that this is a terrible idea, i move we hold off on random lynching for now and use this time to plot strategy.
Going on a lynching frenzy is a bad move so early on.
conditions in this game make it harder to fully utilize our cop. the danger of false-claiming is greater than before, since if we protect someone who turns out to be an impersonator we could lose our angel. and even if somehow we do find the real inspector, tituba can render him completely ineffective. so i don't think our inspector will be of much help this round. maybe he can stay hidden until he identifies a witch, but now that the mafia now has added incentive to impersonate the cop, i'd be wary of any such claims. :/
i'm reluctant to resort to mere speculative discussion but i'm not seeing a whole lot of options here. hoping someone else has some ideas.

post=Solitayreshinan always does that. in fact, lots of people do. time has proven this behavior to be just as insignificant as anything else.
See, you guys are picking apart innocuous statements while ignoring things like Shinan coming in and randomly accusing someone for no reason at all. Your instincts for what counts as suspicious seem to be... skewed.
