LIBERTY'S PROFILE

I enjoy playing and creating games (mostly RPGs) and have a love of story and characterisation above graphics. I've been into RM* since '96 and have used all makers - started on the PSX makers, found and used a patched version of the SNES RM, then moved to RM95. When I found RM2K I finally decided to join some forums and I've been a part of the community ever since.

Worst Fears?

Fire: I hate fire. Flames, sparklers, things burning, heat and cooking in general. Some worse than others, though. Sends me in a panic.
I like the smell of wood smoke, though.

Spiders: Annoying 8-legged freaks of evil. The only good spider is a dead spider... unless it's a Daddy-Long-legs. Them, I can handle.

And facesets? We have nothing for the VX facesets. ;.;

Best Boss Fights

Lufia II - when you fight Gades the first time and you know you can beat him, but he's nigh-on impossible to defeat.

Suikoden II - Luca Blight. Bloody hard guy to kill and the whole fight you're like "Die, you bastard! Diiiieeeeeeeeeeee!" - Or I was, anyway. I actually managed to defeat him with each of my three groups once (had to get up huga levels). He just turns tail and runs.
(Neclord's battle was pretty cool, but only because of the awesome music.)

Emerald Weapon - Oh come on! Underwater bastard who wouldn't die. Had 1 million HP and killer moves. Better equip that Phoenix with Final attack.

Breath of Fire II - Damn gold fly mouthing off at me! Die! Die! Die!

SNES games had some pretty great bosses.

Wow, guys. Impressive, everyone!

Nice. I'm really happy to see the site grow.I want to try writing some reviews soon, I'm not sure how good my writing skills are though.

I'd be happy to edit for you, if necessary. ^.^

Oh, yeah. CONGRATS EVERYONE!

@brandonably - Love those skill ideas. You have inspired me to create a skill called CPR. ^.^ Seriously.

-+-

@Daemon - Thanks and good luck doing so - It'll be in the demo when it comes out...

@Nemisis - Yep! RTP all the way.

@Lord Kenton Pendragon the Forsaken - Sure, I'd love them ^.^ Thank you!
Oh, and I posted up a few of my edited chip/charasets to the site, so if anyone wants them...

@NB - Yeah, it's hella fun to make ^.^

@Nickad - Welcome! Go forth and create. RTP needs more love. (I got the inspiration to make this from Hero's Realm - Thanks Kentona ^.^ - and DW5/6)

Craze: And. And. And! It stills looks cool! ^.^
I'm gonna be a ninja~
And beat up all the monsta~
;D

DS: Those trees seem to be dancing to me. They would be hellaawesome+ if they were animated to dance side to side. ^.^ They're still awesome without the animation, though.

A small cutscene in the training room of the bridgehouse. I don't expect many people to find it as it requires a lot of patience. It's there for fun and leads to a little sidequest. (These two are quite the interesting pair.)

Recurring Accidents

One was a younger brother under a bed with a lighter looking for a toy.

The others (2 caravans, full house burnination, destruction of one room) were electrical faults.

The latest was because my sister forgot to turn off the oil that was on the stove.

We now live down the road from the fire station. >.<

WooT! I'm a Duchess! Of the dawn, no less. ^.^

Liberty's Poetry Corner

Okay, so I write a lot of poetry and I'd like to share some to get a general idea of what I could do better (considering that one day I'll be selling/publishing some of this stuff. ^.^)

Most of them are pretty short and very few of them rhyme. I also have a habit of not naming them. ::)

Thank you!

PAINT

Eye strokes
A brush on canvas
Spreading colours and shades.
Gentle,
Firm pushes
That belie an intimacy
Among strangers.
Whispers
Caressing and arousing
Pull closer the subject to intention.
Acrid
A fetid aroma wafts
Around decaying flesh, yet youthful, still.
Rough taste
Sour on the tongue
A texture that burns the breath.
In the comfort of a hotel room
I paint the body of a lover,
Paid

^^^This one is actually being sent to a competition soon so any quick critiques are doubly welcomed.

UNNAMED

Certain deer
At times of the year
Feel the heat of the season
Certain men
Have the same ken
With just a hint more reason

OLD

Squatters in their own land
These people, once rulers
No longer judge the manners of their visitors
But hawk and cry
Draw near these tourists
Selling bloody memories to strangers
Whilst the dead regard them with scathing, eyeless gazes

They remember the youth of this land

What makes you play an RPG more than once?

Love.

Take Suikoden II for example. I've lost count of how many times I've played this game - upward of ten, methinks. This is obviously because I love everything about it - the music, the characters, the battle systems (yes, plural), the music, the plot, the minigames, the optional extras, the different endings, the music.

Other games like Lufia II, Breath of FIre II and Terranigma I've also played many, many times. Maybe I'm just weird, but I love the graphics and style of those games. Especially New Game+ and 100 floor dungeons. ^.^
