I enjoy playing and creating games (mostly RPGs) and have a love of story and characterisation above graphics. I've been into RM* since '96 and have used all makers - started on the PSX makers, found and used a patched version of the SNES RM, then moved to RM95. When I found RM2K I finally decided to join some forums and I've been a part of the community ever since.

Captcha for posts?
We usually get about 100 bots or so per day trying to get on the site. One or two get through. Our security measures are pretty good in that regard but it's hard to combat actual people doing stuff. As it stands we have a forced slow-down on new users posting so that bots don't just spam the site if they do make it through.
Having an MS amount remove some security would be a nice idea - maybe asking new people to post in the introduction forums and getting a badge worth 50MS if they do that removes captcha and post slow-down is an idea?
Throw down a few ideas you guys, if you have them. Maybe it'll twig something useable.

Guys, in this particular case they weren't reordering images. They kept putting up the same image about 10 times, over and over again.
The Featured Game Thread
Just because a game is small and made for an event, doesn't mean it's not quality. It's a good game that was especially memorable and an interesting play. Not every game featured needs to be a 20 hour epic RPG with fully custom graphics and OST. Sometimes something simple but hitting all the notes competently can be just as good, if not better.
It's short, it's sweet, it's memorable and it's fun. The presentation is really good and it's worthy of the spot.

Okay this is an easy enough fix. Make a copy of a file in each folder (so for example, go to the music folder, copy one of the song files and name it YAMMM, then go to each of the other folders and do the same).
If another file is missing, do the same until you don't get that error any more. From the sounds of it, though, something happened to corrupt that file in particular.

Choosing a RPG Maker
I'm gonna recommend you grab Ace or MZ then. The thing is, some of these things aren't natively in the engine and require plugins or scripts. They'll also require that you put in effort to get it to work - it won't be as easy as popping in a script and done. But that's always the case when making something.
