From an article about those who died at the Boston bombing, INCLUDING an 8yr old boy who no longer has a life as does the 14yr. old child to will grow up and most likely be fine.
This article did not list all those who lost arms or legs because of 2 pressure cooker BOMBS.
This happened less than 3yrs ago. The people of Boston are still not over it and may never be over it.
They were not handcuffed, arrested and released.
THEY WERE BLOWN UP AND DIED OR LOST ARMS OR LEGS AND WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN!!!

OK, fess up. Who was it that called that kid a dirty bomb making Arab???

You know who you are, time to post an apology !!

After reading 3-4 pages of posts, I did not read where anyone called that kid any names. Nor did I see anyone claim all Muslims are terrorists of even killers.

After all these years of looking at electronic devises, I've never seen a clock, homemade or otherwise that looked like the one that young man made. So I'd say, if a English or History teacher heard a ticking noise coming from a case like that and then seeing the item, it could be mistaken for a bomb OR ANYTHING ELSE.

Let's see, do pressure cookers look like bombs????
Guess what was used to kill and maim several people out for a nice day at a marathon??? Then tell me how innocent that clock looks.

Mistakes can be made by anyone. By the teacher to called the police or by a boy who brought a great little clock he made to school not thinking what it MIGHT look like to someone who works at a school just like any other school with many young children they want to protect from danger.
We all know how tension can cause us to see one and mistake it for another.
At least I hope we all understand that no one should be called a racist for trying to protect children under their care.

Perhaps this boy was suspended for playing cagey with administrators instead of being straight forward with the nature of the device? And, for disrupting an English class with the device when there was no reason for it to be there? While I think the school was a little agressive in the boy's punishment, what would you be saying right now about the teacher who ignored the ticking device plugged into her classroom wall socket that exploded, killing students? Sorry. If I had an Arabic name, I might be careful to not make people suspicious of me to avoid this kind of incident.

I can kind of understand the first half of this woman's opinion, but teenagers in general are easily intimidated and lippy. For the other half, I can't say I agree. I'm no bomb expert, but I kind of have a feeling they don't tick like it's a cartoon or B-grade action movie. Also, having to be "careful to not make people suspicious" just because your name is Ahmed Mohamed sounds pretty closet racist.

In todays world, we can't be too careful until this threat from terrorists is finished.
Maybe I'm just paranoid, but it looks it's going to get worse before it gets better.
There are far to many individual young people who are unhappy enough with their life that they are willing to hurt others so to show us we are the cause of their unhappiness.
Please don't bite my head off cause I disagreed with ya :)
