Well, I'm an old guy, 71(crap,there goes another year:( who loves RPGs, especially Action, Adven., ever since my older brother got me hooked on The Legend of Zelda.
Would LOVE to create a game of my own. Even purchased the ACE program, but got frustrated when I could not even make a decent town river :(
But that's ok, I still love these independent games..

What are you thinking about right now?
@nhubi, this forum is a very hard place to debate rape since there are several young people who come here. Also, as unity said "clarity is a very important when communicating" so I do not often get into this kind of discussion.
I've read many of your posts and refuse to get into a discussion with you because I believe your education to be far better than mine and do not want to be made to look like a fool :)
Since I am not very eloquent (pianotm, do your thing) I do not post in this kind of discussion often.
Let me just say, in real life, rape is about the most rotten thing one human can do to another.
Having said that, there are many thousands of people who went to live shows with Eddie Murphy and comedians like him and roar with laughter at jokes that might make people like yourself cringe.
At my age, I've seen, heard, read, watched, etc all kinds of things and some humor where rape is concerned does not bother me since it is humor and not real life.
YES, the game should have been labled properly. It's down at the moment but I seem to remember it was made pretty clear it was a game for older people and did mention there was swearing and rape involved.
I never named the potty mouthes because it was not my place. This is an open and free forum. If the people who control that want to allow it, I will not complain because I also use that language, just not in mixed company.
Finally:
@unity, wish I knew how to make myself more clear when writing. In person, it's a bit easier to make myself understood. Probably it's my spelling that holds me back :)

Almost all games....I hate hard puzzles cause I always have to ask for the solution and it's embar.....well, you know what I mean.

I frankly find it offensive that you've been on this site for this long and would even think Liberty would do this. It suggests to me that you have a very low opinion of the rest of us. Do you really think Liberty is of such poor character? Do you really think the rest of us are such poor judges of character or of such character that we'd just sit back silently while something like that happened?

Calm down pianotm, this is a conversation thread and I was simply pointing out that there is a lot of ADULT content on this site which several years ago I thought was a regulated site in so far as young people were concerned.
Until I read a few posts by Ms.Liberty and realized .....oh crap, guess I should not say anymore or people will think I want Liberty sensored and strung up by her fingernails......unless she ain't got none, then a better method would need to be found.
Now I will see who else took me to task for speaking my mind and double post so Liberty can delete me.....THERE, I SAID IT AGAIN :) :)

Back @Liberty, it's only rape if she would not have anything to do with him in the first place...then he would deserve to have his only transgender reality show. :) I don't actually remember that scene. I do remember ALMOST all thanking him afterward...that's why I believe I chuckled at the scene. A strong and dark sense of humor is needed for that game and yes, the developer does need to be VERY OPEN AND CLEAR and it's content.

author=LibertyWe already discussed the game and concluded that it wasn't bad enough to be denied (when it came to the sexual examples - he sent videos of the worst scenes so we could check). That said, he is supposed to be marking it so that it's easy to see. I'll have a word with him to make it more predominant on the page. ( :/ )That was another game.
Okay, I always check about questionable lines in the descriptions of games - trigger lines that could mean one thing or another - and I was told by the guy that there was one scene that dealt with rape. I told him to tone it down. I also asked about the sex scenes and he told me that it wasn't too major.
I am now going to play the game myself and document the details because from the sound of it, it was represented differently to how it plays out. For now it's denied, pending a closer checking.
That said, keep in mind that we do allow adult stuff on the site - we don't want to tell people how to make their games or curb artistic expression, though we also don't want people to go too far and stray into insensitive expression of various topics. There are going to be games out there that are more mature in nature that will be allowed on the site. It's hard to judge just by description and screenshots just whether or not a game is too much.
I'd flagged this one initially and sought feedback on it from the other staff and we concluded that as long as the creator wasn't lying about the content, it would be fine. We are going to get people who don't represent their game content completely honestly and up-front, though, for whatever reason (shock-factor, not wanting people to judge before playing, etc) but we do ask that games be tagged properly in the case that there are certain issues contained within.
I'll get to the bottom of this. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
WELL, you guys, not Liberty but those who complained about The Hawkman finally got my dander up, ruffled my feathers and so on....
I can not say The Hawkman is a well made game as I'm not a developer.
But if you decide to ban the game for content, you might also have to ban the video review that Liberty posted on the review of Pixels. The language was filthy and no better then the inuendoes (lots of spellchecks please) in The Hawkman.
I'm not taking the side of the developer because he did make it pretty clear that it was an adult game.
If you ban it for language or innuendo a few of the recent threads on this site should have been closed before they opened :)
Also, a few of the people who comment on things or post in the Forums really need to clean up their language.
Most of you know me as an old guy and SHOULD know I'm not a prude. I also thought The Hawkman was a very adult game, but after reading some of the post of a few potty mouths on this site I figured, "oh well" if some people are going to speak like that on a site with many young people and not be told to clean up their language then The Hawkman is no different.
Yes, he talks about rape but there are no rape scenes, just a few sounds on a black screen.
I actually got a few chuckles at the conversation. You do need a VERY ADULT attitude to play the game but again, it's no worse then a few other things I've see here and I spend time on RMN EVERY DAY without fail since I love the type of games that are on this site.
