Dragon Warrior I remake

This game requires a lot of grinding without getting anywhere. You hardly get enough money or anything else to buy new equipment or items. After grinding for 2.5 hours I got to level 4 but not strong enough to buy any better weapons or items. Why don't you play and decide what you want to change for players to keep motivated without getting bored.
That's how the original Dragon Warrior actually played, though.


But the stats were calculated much differently in the original compared to this one. One of the isses I've had with DQ+ is getting the stats balanced enough because RPG Maker engines don't reflect the progression of Dragon Quest Stats. They're usually relatively low compared to Final Fantasy which the engine was made to favor.

For the Creator: I recommend more balancing, fix the battle1 error, and I also did like Chrono Trigger 600AD as the field theme. I actually sat and listened to if as it was really good. But in its current state, it's not fully playable. But you plan to update it, so that's good. Keep it up. Looking forward to the updates.

I've always wondered what the T-pose is for when modeling 3D characters.


It's the base pose from which animations should be made. I'm a 3D major at university and they teach us to keep models in T poses for various reasons pertaining to texturing, animating, and modeling. It just makes it easier on the developers in the long run.

Also going for the grammar theme, there should be a comma after unresponsive. I make grammar mistakes all the time, we all do.

Some text shadows might be nice, just to make it more readable against he <50% black of that menu.


I'll most likely drop the transparency a bit. Possibly change the value of the black. I appreciate the feedback.

It's definitely a throwback to the older games. I wasn't intending to do that, I actually was going for 7 characters, but it was too conflicting with only 120 pics. I guess your name could be Orxi read in chinese as Orchi? I tried :(

You bet. Somebody could probably do this in minutes in Ace or XP. Took a good 12 hours or so to get this complete. At least you all know I'm working hard on the project :D

Edit: BTW, your name is tied to a number, so depending on what additive number your name makes, your stats will change. So if you're name is AAAA, your additive number will be 4 which does something to how you grow. I'm not telling what percentile does what but one name and one name only will get you double XP and Gold.
