LOTUS_GAMES'S PROFILE

For over 12 years, I have been creating my own video games and art. I started out by creating games on Microsoft Powerpoint believe it or not and then graduated to Rpg Maker and eventually to more advanced engines such as Construct, Unreal Dev Kit, and Game Maker. I have mastered Adobe Photoshop over the last several years and have become proficient in using Blender. I have a passion for creating, learning, and now teaching =]

The Screenshot Topic Returns

@Tau: Thanks man, as per the name..the first thing that came to mind was Edward Bellamy's Looking Backwards so I played off of that but I'm very open to suggestions as I still want to mess around with the intro. The name was Sanosuke (Kenshin). With Epic of Zoon as the title, I understand that it sounds funny but I decided to go with it due to the meaning of Zoon (in sanskrit it means moon) And this name played a vital bit in the discovery of Zoon as a baby by Ian at the end of the first game. I also got mixed reactions with the sprites, but even looking at it now I feel they add to the maps...I dunno I like the style they are drawn in =]

The Screenshot Topic Returns

Epic of Zoon was one of my favorite projects. The story was personal and relatable in the sense that it delves into fears and emotions faced by many of us. This is perhaps my favorite of all the intros I have ever made for a video game. The entire cast can be seen walking about and partaking in their everyday lives. The intro shows the events before the joining of the ensemble. Zoon in the very first scene is shown farming right outside his humble home on the country side while Vigo unknowingly passes by. Jaja the magician is seen at the very last scene honing his skills which later serve great aid to the team in their efforts.

Perhaps the most surprising decision on my part however was to depict these protagonist's lives in chapter one of Epic of Zoon, considering chapter one has nothing to do with them..instead it follows the journey of Ian who having lost everything by the end of chapter one, discovers Zoon and adopts him. Ian can actually be seen in the very first scene of the intro. If you look as the screen pans up past Zoon's/Ian's farmhouse, for a split second you can see the spirit of Ian watching over Zoon.

Community Contest: Map and you could win $25 and other prizes

Sure my friend should have the website up and running soon. If not than we can figure something else out, phone, email, etc. But yeah out-of-state isn't an issue.

For your video some good tools include: Fraps, Camtasia Studio, CaptureWiz, BSR Screen Recorder 5. Hope that helps and I'm looking forward to your entry =]

I love you because your name reminds me of a sauna. Which is very relaxing.
Lol I'd chill with you in real life anyday man.

Sana: This screen is amazing =] I definitely went "woah" in my head when I saw it!

I'll say looks like your sending the story into a more darker route, Harry Potter comes to mind and I can't wait to play it =]

Community Contest: Map and you could win $25 and other prizes

Alright so Overlord and Blindmind, best of luck guys if you decide to join.
@Infection Files: Thanks so much for being supportive I appreciate it brother and if you decide to join I will be cheering you on as well.
@Blind: That's weird, I have nothing to do with the RMN fb though =/

@SS: I can see your point and it is valid, however neither of these companies are big...infact my "business" if you want to call it that has been so far run entirely with my own pocket money. I haven't made a dime nor do I really plan to with where it is at right now. When I say I plan to hopefully do more contests pending this ones success and offer my own money as a prize...I am really offering my own money not revenue that I have hypothetically accumulated from lotusoftware. I work on the games, tutorials, graphic packs, and my blog because I love what I am doing and I want to help people who are interested in learning and I would like to promote that so more people can enjoy my work, simple as that.

@Bandito: Good luck if you decide to join man!
@Jude: Yes, there are promotional aspects to this thread...the blog I started is in need of support and I want to help my friend at Save Point VG as I back him in his endeavors, one which I believe in...he is getting started in his respective field, as am I. This thread is also a community contest which is mainly for fun if I may add with a prize being offered by my friend at Save Point who really didn't have to offer anything mind you, I could have just as easily made this a enter for fun contest. That being said I'm sorry you only see one aspect of this contest...though a rather important aspect that is essential to the survival of any start-up...the promotional aspect.

Now I am well aware that this is a forum topic like any other with many diverse minded people who will contribute, there will be those who will respond in glee and wish to partake and make this community event a fun, pleasant, and enjoyable one and on the flip side of the coin there will be those that try their hardest to see that it fails for whatever reason they choose and however they see fit; whether its provoking arguments or emphasizing only those aspects which (they think) may leave a negative impression...that being said, please be informed of the following going forward in the coming month: Please DO continue to do as you wish, who am I to stop you...after all it is the internet, however to those I feel have mal-intent I will going forward disregard your comments and discontinue to reply to them.

Now this is not to say that I will not seriously consider the arguments made by those who have suggestions, or thoughts on how to perhaps improve this topic or discussion...I will also continue to cheer on and support those that wish to partake in this contest and those that wish to support their fellow community members. To those of you who are here to make this a first and foremost fun experience, a competitive experience, and a successful event that in my hopes will lead to future contests with more prizes, prizes I have intentions to personally contribute to using what money I have...I wish to sincerely thank you.

Yes! I'd like for this to be a fun event for everyone. I have been working on setting this up non-stop since last night and I'm very tired (physically and mentally) at this point. While I am trying to be optimistic about this contest and the community here which I happen to love, I will not tolerate comments meant to insight negativity...that goes against what this contest is about(and it's really not something I need right now). I blocked said user so it won't be an issue for me anymore. Let's try to keep it pleasant everyone...
