Phantasy Star V
It started off that way.
But really it's not, it's just VERY similar.
I love PS1 thru 4, but I can't make a story and link it in, and have it fit very well.
So instead, I'm... well i wanna say I'm taking inspiration, but really it's just a blatant rip off of Phantasy Star 1 2 and 4.
But technically since it's also a fan game in a way, it's meant to be a rip off.
But it does not connect at all with any of the other Phantasy Star games, it's just pretty much influenced by those games.
I am even using monsters from those games, maybe even a few tunes from those games.
Speaking of which, most of the music is from snes games I loved, which seemed to me to be a LOT like the Phantasy Star games anyhow.

I opted to stay away from Final Fantasy with my fan game, and instead I am going with Phantasy Star....
For me, the biggest problem in making a fan game IS the fans.
They tend to be very bitchy about things.. as if THEY are making the game.
Then their is the nitpicking about things, which usually has to do with the same thing.. they rather see it done a certain way as if it was THEIR game.
What's funny, is if you do ask the community to get involved.. it does NOT go well... not in my experience anyhow.

I have a question, how did you manage to change the layout of the bottom where the stats are? Is there a script for customizing it?

Seems off, there was no planet Paseo in the older games, there was the Algo Solar system, with 3 planets, Palma Motavia and Dezoris.
Palma is a tropical planet, Motavia is a desert planet, and Dezoris is all snow and ice... later in the series.. part 2 to be exact.. Palma get's destroid.. in part 4 it turns out that the planets and the 3 tribes on each planet were responsible for keeping a seal on an evil known as the profound darkness, which a being known as the great light left to the 3 tribes to deal with... anyhow.. long story short, part 4 ends with them destroying the profound darkness, and thus ending the evil.. but the series is left to interpretation..
Did Algo continue into decay? Or did it regain it's self?
I won't say much, but i'm working on my own game.. that's all i will say.
