RPG 20XX Engine
Okay, good to know, i was thinking it was dead.
I'm looking forward to this, i loved 2003, but there were some things that bugged me about it, one thing was how image files had to only be like.. 256 colors, the other thing that bugged me was that the battles forced that ATB styled thing on you, i like turn based myself.
Everything about this project excites me, and i look forward to it.

ATTN: Security Breach
Good to know this is still being worked on.
I love the things planned for it.
It's what RPG Maker XP should have been... to me anyhow.

Fix the cliffs?
It's actually really hard to do what you guys are asking for if he is using RPG Maker 2000 or 2003.. especially with that tile set, you can't make variations in tiles cause there is no room in the tile set, really he's got what he can use, unless he takes the tile-set and opens it in an image editing program and deletes tiles he may need on other maps, just so he can add more variety in some cliffs.
It's like telling the guys who made the SNES Final Fantasy 4 that the cave walls all need variations, it's just the style of the graphics really, especially if he is going with a snes feel, as i recall there was not a lot of variations in cliffs.
And if you think those graphics are square, wait till you see the games that can be made in VX Ace... they're all squared.. and to make it not squared is almost impossible..... just wait till games made with Ace come out *shivers* it's as if they are forcing the Dragon Quest style on everyone lol

Yanfly Engine Ace - System Options
I was thinking, you could also add an option to change the opacity, as well as what window skin in particular you might be using.
Just a thought though really.

Terrain Encounter Rates
So, basically, if you are in the forest, you will run into monsters at a different rate, than like in the grass?
If so.. very interesting.
So, when walking through a forest, you can run into random battles a LOT more than walking on grass.. if i have that right.

Final Fantasy Essence
I have a problem where the game basically crashes some time after that thing with the crystal where everyone vanishes, and that boy lowers his head and says something.. it just shuts off.
I am not dealing with any lag at all, i'm running a 6 core CPU with 32 gigs of ram though, so.. yeah lol

New here, saying hi..
Final Fantasy Essence
Personally, i would not steal anything if i did hack into it, i would use it as a learning experience, see how things were done, and learn from it in making my own game.
There are some things you managed to do in this game i have been trying to do myself, but i'm not a scriptwriter... it would be cool just to be able to open up and see how things were done script wise and such.
