Again, I thank you for your feedback. It will be quite useful in future game releases.

Lost Legacy: An Animania Story Review

Hey, you are more than entitled to your opinion, and I'm glad you took the time to play my game and review it. It does sound like, however, that you never made it past the prologue, which is admittedly very long. After the prologue, the game does play like just about any other traditional RPG. Perhaps I should put a statement saying that the game's prologue is quite long and cumbersome? Ah well, your feedback is much appreciated. And yes, I am very happy with myself for this game.

I'll play yours, you play mine ;)

I'm actually a guy xD
I'm going to give your game a try now Smiley

LOL, my bad. I'll be playing yours as soon as the Superbowl is over. And I guess I should warn you that the game has a very long prologue. I apologize in advance if that turns you off to it.

I'll play yours, you play mine ;)

Just put them in your Fonts directory, and the games shouldn't give you problems anymore.

Boy do I feel embarassed. I forgot about those two files. Thanks for helping her, Atavus!

I was playing your game and when I ALT+TAB-ed and tried to get back to the game it froze for some odd reason ...

Also I get this strange messed up font, even though I have the font installed:

For the Alt+Tab thing, the game is really big, and alt-tabing back and forth can freeze it if it's in a cinema. My advice is don't Alt-Tab when you're playing the game unless you can go to the menu (via esc).

As for the font thing, are you running on a laptop or desktop? A lot of people I know have had a heck of a time with the RM2k3 Fonts working properly. Did you install the Font Patch from the the FontPatch.exe program? Or did you use FP2000?

I'll play yours, you play mine ;)

Why not, it looks like it'll be fun to play! ;)

I'll PM you with my thoughts, if you want, or review it if you prefer.

Allow myself to introduce...myself!

I actually know a few people who started out with RPG Maker and now work for major game studios.

That's for the vote of confidence (Be it indirect or direct). I plan on staying around places like here until I go professional. One can never stop learning new ways to do things.

Download Site down

I'm having trouble getting this site to accept my full download, and given that it is 213mb, I'm not surprised. :/

How about this; are there any cliches that you LIKE?

Why? It is the same as reloading your game after dying but takes less time. It is just as anticlimactic knowing that you are immortal and get infinite retries.

I am sorry, but I have strongly disagree with you here. From a storytelling, and writing perspective, the ability to run away from a climatic final boss, or some other less-final, but equally climactic boss battle, destroys the climatic nature of the battle.

When a hero (or group of heroes) traverse incredible dangers, face unspeakable horrors, and suffer countless set backs to stop the <insert ultimate evil's name here> from <insert nefarious plan here>, only to be able to say...

"Oh wait, Mister Final Boss, we are not quite ready, LOL :D...we be right back to try again when our level is higher, m'kay?"

Um, yeah, if you don't find that anti-climatic from a story stand point, I don't know what to tell you.

However, it does make sense from a game standpoint. So really, it all depends on what is more important to you, the gameplay or the story. If the gameplay is more important than the story, however, you shouldn't be playing an RPG. RPGs are supposed to be, by their nature, more game than story.

Well, I'm not quite sure what you're trying to imply, but you've have the right to your opinion, and you have the right to have your opinion respected.

So there it is. :)
