Favorite videogame world.

I loved Banjo Kazooie. I just loved its wacky and pun/inuendo filled world.

Go Make me a Sandwich: Sexuality in Bayonetta (and other games)

I can't believe feminists are arguing about women in video games. Next they'll go on to porn, anime/cartoons, comics/manga and any other art that depicts woman. I have lots more to say, but I don't want to start something. I will however say this much, men and woman are not equal physically, so they never will have the same rights. Example being custody of the children, woman always have an advantage to have custody of the children just because they're the mother. I'm not saying I agree with this or not, but I am saying as long as men and woman are different they will never have equal rights.

Secret/ Super Boss length

I happen to like long boss fights. It feels intense for me because I wonder if I will run out of supplies before I win.

What is your take on isometric pixel art

I think I only played one isometric rpg, SMRPG, and I liked it. I don't know what would be a bad example of isometric rpg, but I am sure there is one. I have seen MMOs use isometric maps and I think it looks great.

SD3 Ice Mountain Tile?

I'd like to know too. I always wanted to take tilesets and sprites from ZC games, but I never bothered to find out how. I think you have to download the engine then open the game in editor then export graphics, but I couldn't be assessed.

"2D" Zelda Games Obsolete?

Hmm, I forgot that Phantom Hourglass and Spirit tracks are 2d games, but that aside. What I should have said was that sprites have become obsolete in the Zelda world. I think it's a shame too because they can do so much with them.

Note: I have played all the toon Zelda games and to me their like an entirely different Zelda world, so I usually don't think of it when talking about Zelda.

If, say, you want circular motion but your intended number of frames doesn't divide nicely into the given lookup table's, there's an easy approximation trick to get circular motion or construct your own lookup table.Because d/dx(cos x) = -sin x and d/dx(sin x) = cos x, each frame you can basically just have:

y += x/c
x -= y/c

for some constant c not too large relative to the range of x and y; in something like RM2K(3) this might require keeping, say, x*256 and y*256 and using those in the calculation then dividing down.

The above has a period of basically 2*pi*c iterations, though there can be a touch of rounding error.

Ellipses you can do with:
y += x/a
x -= y/b
(this gets you a period of 2*pi*sqrt(a*b) and a y-axis length of (x-axis length)*sqrt(b/a) IIRC.)

Not sure if the lookup table in the article was constructed like this or some other way, I don't have RM2K3 on this computer.

Hmmm, you lost me after that.

This is good I think, least from what I understand. I always had to make my own events for stuff like this, but now I can use this.

"2D" Zelda Games Obsolete?

I have recently played Link's Awakening and I have noticed that Nintendo doesn't make 2d Zelda games no more. It's like 2d has become obsolete. I think Oracles, Link's Awakening, Minish Cap and even the very first Zelda were great games. These type of Zelda games have seem to be forgotten and I wonder if it's because 2d is obsolete now. It seems like all the new games today are about graphics and 3d worlds. Yes, there are still games made in 2d, cave story and rayman to name a couple, but it seems all the big developers only make 3d games now. I'm starting to get off topic though. My main point is that the 2d Zelda games have become obsoleted by 3d Zelda games, thus losing the original Zelda type games (top down view). What do you guys think?

The pose is nice, but the animation is awkward. It looks like the same legs are in the front and back, but if I concentrate I can see that the left and right legs are switching from front to back(I may be wording this wrong.). Could just be my eyes.
