MILENNIN'S PROFILE
Milennin
2060
I create games because I enjoy gaming, telling stories, writing dialogue and drawing. Making a game is all of those things combined into one. However, my greatest passion with game making is designing battle systems that require thought and resource management within battle itself. I'm always looking into improving my skills, so if you've played one of my games, please do leave a piece of feedback on my page.

Which faceset?
Made 2 facesets for the same character, but not 100% sure which one to go with, cause I kind of like them both, lol. What do people think?
The one on the left is a complete retrace of the faceset for the character used in my previous game, but in higher resolution and quality this time. The one on the right is the new one, making the hair less spikier, and having the cloak a bit different.

I haven't fully fleshed out the story for my new game yet, but it'll be something along the lines of:
FADE
Spiky haired anime dude with sword has to kick King of Darkness butt to save the peoples.
I know. It's very deep. It'll be compelling, too.

Saved your image and putting Milennin into the game :) Fancy being a hot-shot private pilot who advises the player on stratergies with tips?
Heh, sounds good.=D
I'm gonna keep an eye on this, looks interesting.
Requests for Deckiller to review your game
I'd like a review on my game. It's my first, and has not had any reviews or ratings yet. I'm interested in any feedback on it, as I want to improve my game making skills, and make the sequel, which I'll start working on soon, even better.
Length-wise it's around 1-3 hours long. If you get stuck anywhere in the game, there's a walkthrough that comes with the game files in the download.

That's a cool idea to put in a game.=P
This'll be my guy, you can call him Roth, or Milennin. Whichever you prefer. As for personality, he's supposed to be pretty witty, lol.xD

It's not an option when you save, it's an option in the menu. Image > Mode > Indexed.
Thanks, that's actually pretty useful.

This is dumb and crazy, just save it as a 256 color .png in Photoshop in the first place. "Indexed mode" is another word for 256 color, yo.
When I save as .png in Photoshop (CS5), the only option I see is interlaced or none, and both options show up as a black image in RM2K(3).

Just don't use MS Paint, because it will strip your transparencies, reset your palette, rub sandpaper on your eyes, cut off your ponytail while you're asleep, put tobasco in your coffee, and email your entire porn directory to your mother.
MS Paint works perfectly fine. I've been using it forever, and for most the pixel art I do.

Bump, any help guys? Even if you don't want to help work on it, I still would be grateful if anyone has any tips from there own experiences on sprite importing and importing backgrounds and stuff.
If you work with RPG Maker 2000 or 2003, make sure your graphics are 256 color bitmaps (.bmp).
What I do (probably not the most efficient, lol), create something in a regular .png file. Save it as a .gif in Photoshop, with Local (selective) palette, None forced and no transparency. Then open the .gif in MS Paint, and there save it as a 256 color bitmap.
File should now be usable in RM2K(3).
If you use VXA, I think any .png file works just fine?
