MILENNIN'S PROFILE

I create games because I enjoy gaming, telling stories, writing dialogue and drawing. Making a game is all of those things combined into one. However, my greatest passion with game making is designing battle systems that require thought and resource management within battle itself. I'm always looking into improving my skills, so if you've played one of my games, please do leave a piece of feedback on my page.

Transparant faceset edges (Photoshop help)
Transparant faceset edges (Photoshop help)
I need a bit of help with something in Photoshop. I've started making facesets for my characters for my VXA game, but it's hard to get the edges completely transparant.
This is how it currently looks like in the game:
But I want to remove the blue around the edges. My knowledge with Photoshop is pretty limited. Anyone know if there'd be a easy of making solid edges?

Combat systems: Do's and Dont's & Opinions
I'm interested in what people think of RPG combat systems. What are the things you like to see in a combat system. What are things that annoy you? What are things you absolutely need in a combat system to be able to enjoy it? What are things that frustrate the hell out of you? etc etc.
Combat system covers:
-Type of system
-Aggro
-Level ups
-Equipment
-Skills
-Conditions
-Monsters
-Difficulty
-Length
-Animations

Tester Request
I'll do it, if you still need a tester.
I can give feedback on your stuff, but it may be harsh if it's not really good.

CC's Feedback
Your videos are quite interesting. I'm curious what you'd have to say about my game in a Let's Play: http://rpgmaker.net/games/4770/
It's a finished game, about 1-3 hours long. If you really get stuck on a part, there's a walkthrough included with the game download. I'm interested in hearing your opinion on the difficulty on some of the challenges I put in my game. If they're too hard, or too easy.

[Poll] Status effect against bosses
I'm not sure because I haven't worked with the RPG Maker battle system yet, but wouldn't stuns be less powerful on a boss if you can make a boss use multiple attacks in 1 turn? That way, if a boss could use 3 skills, stun would only block 1 of his skills, not making stunlocking a possibility.
About poll: I think conditions should work on bosses, although some conditions may have to be weakened somewhat. Things such as sleep not working for multiple turns, and/or have a fair chance of missing.

Rpg maker 2003 cutscene questions
That's pretty vague, considering I haven't played that game... Does the cutscene play when you interact with the NPC? Or triggered when you walk past a certain point on a map? Is the NPC just standing there, or does he walk up to you?
Giving a key card can be done with just text, nothing fancy (don't forget to add item key card to hero, though). Then add an event command that makes the NPC walk to the door, and turn on a switch (name it "door lock" switch). You make a new page on your door, that activates when the door lock switch is turned on, and does nothing when the player interacts with it / or add a message to tell the player that it's locked.

Can I use RM2K sprites in VXA?
