MILENNIN'S PROFILE
Milennin
2060
I create games because I enjoy gaming, telling stories, writing dialogue and drawing. Making a game is all of those things combined into one. However, my greatest passion with game making is designing battle systems that require thought and resource management within battle itself. I'm always looking into improving my skills, so if you've played one of my games, please do leave a piece of feedback on my page.

[RM2K3 request] Display enemy health bars
author=Cerberus
Haven't got it to work yet, have to run now. Perhaps I could do this later.
Sure, am not in a hurry at all.

I think it can be easily made from the condition_icons by Cherry. I'll try this now.
Thanks, much appreciated.
[RM2K3 request] Display enemy health bars
Is there a plugin for RM2K3 to display enemy health bars? Or would anyone be willing to make this, or explain how to make something like this?
Linearity OK? Are choices important?
What do people think about choices in RPGs? Are they an important aspect to a game to make it more enjoyable to play, or would a linear experience be just as good? Do you think a game with a bunch of choices that result in different, smaller things is better or more fun than a game that focuses all its energy on one big linear path?
Mostly opinion gathering, but feel free to discuss the subject of choices in RPGs.

Disallowing the use of other programs

I... I admit to have done this a couple times. >_>
But that's because the games were freakin' bugged.
Wich is adds another layer of reasons for not moleboxing nor cheatproofing an RPG Maker game.
Lol, really?=P I didn't think people would go that far to play an RPG Maker game, unless you're on the testing team or something.
A shop that sells only one of each item (RM2k3)
Another thing that you could do is to not sell the stuff in an interface, but rather in the store itself. What I mean is that you have a bunch of items laying around in the story, that the player can interact with. So a player can examine item A and then confirm to buy it. Upon buying that item have a switch go ON that makes item A in the store disappear.
Disallowing the use of other programs
I'd be more concerned about getting people to actually play my game in the first place.
Besides that, I can't think of a single reason why anyone would hack their way to victory in any RPG Maker game.

[Plug-in] [rm2k3] Animated Monsters Plugin
Looks nice, will give this a try some time soon. This will actually be really cool, since I plan on having some playable characters appear as enemies in my game, like in the combat tutorial.
