Multiple ways to go through a door? I am expecting at least one Axe to Door encounter. ;)
Well, there is at least a crowbar, so I expect the possibility to try and Gordon Freeman one's way out. Not necessarily successfully, though.
I just love how open worldy this game sounds.

Clock of Atonement
I wish I didn't have to play that wonky port, though. Is there a way to get around the unicode errors?
Newbie friendly? Not. 20 hour 'filler' epics? Nope.
Recognizing the problems you mentioned is the first step towards solving them. The second one is having a few people test the game (yes, even before you complete the demo). The earlier you realize that something's an issue, the earlier you can change it and the less frustrating it will be. Especially for a 20 hour epic.
Game-breaking bug.

So players can just open up the game and fix any bugs themselves, rather than uploading a new patch every single time.
1. That's not really what "open beta" means. It means that you upload the beta version of the game for everyone to play, and the players then report bugs to you, which you collect and fix.
2. This is going to cause version conflicts. What if there's two bugs on one map, or what if there's more than one way to fix a bug?
3. This screws everyone over who doesn't want spoilers.
Why don't you just allow players to apply for closed beta to you, then send that beta to them in private, collect the bugs and release the version with all the fixes?

You can change the title as often as you want. I suggest just writing it down somewhere offline and letting it sit for a while until you really feel it's the right one. That probably saves you from having to edit the title image every single time.
Also, in the light of that bug you have in Enelysion 1.2, are you going to do an open or a closed beta?
