In any case, I really love the Alice concept sketches. I love Alice's design, and Gunnar is love no matter which way you draw him P:.
Overall the character designs are simply beautiful. They both embody the characters themselves and make the player (moi) intrigued to know more about them.
I want Archeia's scythe, just to put it on my wall.
Congratulations on getting another spriter to the team. Given the amount of graphics you're doing for this game, I'm sure that's got to be a bit of a burden off your shoulders.

This was the original style I was going to do battlers in for my game.
I did reference the way Nessiah does heads for Lex because I was having difficulty with it, but I tried just to take some pointers and not just copy it exactly. I've got to reference more often so I can improve, I usually just try to do things on my own >.>

It kinda makes me want to try steampunk, but maybe after I practice spriting a ton more D=.
Also, I was playing around with VX's tile function the other day and I totally agree with you. Why didn't they keep XP's mapping system D=.
So we're allowed 21 hours playtime, and then it's Game Over in a sense? Does that mean we get New Game+?
That'd be cool =D.

I love those animations Ness, they're really smooth and as some people said here, very professional looking. This game is going to be graphically and by the looks of the battle screens in previous blogs, technically amazing.

Art Stuffs
Ok, I see what you mean. That helps a lot, I remember a while ago when Arc did the same thing with a number of my drawings. I've improved a lot since then and ironed out a lot of my major errors but big skulls are still one of my biggest issues. At one stage I started drawing my base circle and then as I finished the head I'd shrink the circle to a much more realistic size. I've started doing that again lately and I've found it's helping. I haven't drawn a lot lately because I'm on a writing kick, but I do have something I drew.
With the notes you made on facial compression this'll be the last picture I draw without it, but I still like some of the details anyway.

My familiar is a cat, so I reckon that'd be a really effective attack 8D.
The menu is look great, Arc! Surprisingly the brown and the blue/yellow go really well together.

I love that menu. I've always wanted one that looked like (choices on the side, character art in a horizontal four-row)that but have never been able to find scripts for it (must learn Ruby D:). That's pretty cool that you've got the database done with the skills, I find I procrastinate when it comes to databasing because I find it tedious. Nice work, Ness.

I'll keep that in mind. I'm generally not too bad with it though, and he is looking down here. I don't know if this is correct or not now that you've said that, but I always figured looking down meant more of a view of the skull and a slightly lower eye height.
