Halloween Flop
Clearly something went wrong with the download then. The game is stand alone and should not require any other files. Like I said, this screenshot was taken from a fresh download/unzip and is how it should look. The other option I suppose is an anti-virus got overzealous, but the reason I use a zip and not the default exe package is to avoid most instances of that.

Regardless, your error seems like a keyboard issue. Are you holding a key when you launch the game? Do you have a sticky up key? Do you have a controller plugged in? I cannot replicate your issue, so I can't really help. (Also I find it funny that you mention mouse controls when there is no such support?)

April was a Fool
A music player was something I definitely intended to add to the proposed spruced up rerelease down the road once we had an original soundtrack to call this game's own. But with how well the selection of community tracks worked out, I am definitely debating adding one to a small update in the near future (May 1st??). For now, I can link you to the source of about 85% of the music: RMN Music Pack and My Memory Lane (MML) Music Mega-Pack.

On the last ending:
It is the worst ending. It is achieved by having super low affection on any route that is not Gunn. A common issue we're finding is that if you get it on Blake's bad end, you actually see the majority of that ending first (including all the CGs), so it's hard to realise that you've switched endings. Basically, if it ended in the pub, it's Blake's bad end; if it ended with a CG, it's the 11th ending. This is something we'll probably address when we start working on an expanded version.

Re:re: the sliding puzzle's difficulty. It's really going to come down to the individual. I found it easy, but then again, I always enjoyed sliding puzzles as a kid so I have a general technique I follow. Having some way to see the completed puzzle might help people though if you're looking for a way to ease it up a tiny bit.
