RIXEL96'S PROFILE

My aim is fame!

Yo! I am Rixel. I am into manga, hardcore metal music, ganja, role playing, and action RPG video games! I am a pretty decent writer with a few book ideas and I've always wanted to put "game designer" under my belt. I am currently working on a project set in my world "Legends", the mini title of the game is L:BoW and I plan to use VX Ace to make it. I also have a book-in-the-making also set in my "Legends" world called Legends: The Story of Jack Evans located on my deviantArt account which you can find a link to bellow!
My forte is Action, Adventure, Horror, Tragedy, Psychological, and I'm not to shabby at romance. I own my own role playing chat room if any of you might be interested: http://chat.deviantart.com/chat/LegendsofRPs
I also am not to bad at sprite making though I am more of an editor of them (not just recoloring cus that'd be lame, I can edit say a jacket from closed to open) and I am a fast learner.
Feel free to message me if you would like to hook up for a project!
I am currently looking for a mapper!!

no-one has to die. Review

Wow! Thank you for writing this review! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! ^.^ (RISE FROM THE ASHES indeed...)

No problem ^_^ This was really awesome and I'd love to learn from you and get your opinion on some of my work (you've officially been placed in my Writing Guru area of people). If you wouldn't mind taking a bit out of your day to check out my latest project (being a book) I'd love to hear your thoughts :D http://rixel96.deviantart.com/gallery/43042904

There are many reasons RM2K3 is still good :D
True, very true. Though with all these new games coming out on XP, VX, and now VX Ace how can an RM2K3 game compete? This one really shows RM2K3 is still up to snuff without it being a classic, know what I mean?
If someone was new to RM, I recommend Ace. The default scripts and settings are amazing, and there is very little 2k3 has over it;
even without the ability to script.
That said, veterans who've been using 2K3 aren't going to be flat-out ignored anytime soon.

Good review ^.^

Thanks :D Though the problem with Ace is that it's so much money! Maybe if the person has quite a bit of money to spend or plan to make a commercial game but to the hobby game makers 2k3 is gonna be where they turn to and the fact that this game is still in the process of being made shows 2k3 is still a viable option.
What I am trying to say is basically to encourage not only people to not be afraid to use 2k3 if they don't have that much money, but also encourage people to continue to play 2k3 games, other wise a large portion of the community's newer games will be singled out by all these Ace games.
(Though I suppose you can call me a hypocrite as I am looking into getting VX Ace to make my own game. :P)

no-one has to die.

Rise From The aShes! I am so doing a review of this, really it was awesome.

[Poll] Judging whether to download a game? What do you look for?

author=Liberty
Of course they don't but screenshots can show you a lot about a game - the effort a person has put into it, their relative mapping skill, their ability with the program and when dialogue is featured, their writing ability. It can also show off features, battle and menu systems and the like, so... I guess there's a reason for it~

Good point, really it is. I took the choice as to mean the graphics of the game period, though the way you put it makes sense.

[Poll] Judging whether to download a game? What do you look for?

I can't believe so many people care about the graphics -_- Yes it is a part to a game and it's rather nice when the graphics are good and all, but damn, graphics don't make a game!

Looking for a Battle Sprite Artist!! RM2K3

author=Darkflamewolf
I'd also like to hop in, I'm wondering if anyone has made battle charas for rm2k3 for the mac-blue monster charas. You know the one with the slime, bee, snake, wolfman, ogreman, dragon and demon dude? Preferably with most status effect animations already included.

So I assume you're asking other people for battles sprites? Alright then... :I

Looking for a Battle Sprite Artist!! RM2K3

NOTICE: We are no longer looking for anything but a BATTLE SPRITE ARTIST hence why I have changed the topic name and the first post. (however a mapper and scripter would still be appreciated, we are ready to make a demo and the only thing that is necessary and is holding us back is we don't have any battle sprites) More info in the first post!!

RPG Maker 2003 Maps and Resources

spriters-resource is a good one, and there was a mappers version but it went under not long ago. Maybe search for Game Rip sites.

Oh, and charas-project.

Thanks :) not a fan of charas-project but I haven't been to spriters resource since I was on smack jeeves XD
Again thanks.
