Art and You

A rip is a rip, regardless of whether or not it was from an indie or commercial project. Don't get me wrong, I support the indie devs moreso, so this is a huge step in the right direction, and one I'm very happy to hear about.

It's just a shame that the community at large puts you guys in a position where you have to be hypocritical about content theft or face losing like 80% of all the content on the site.

"Epic" isn't a theme. That doesn't even make sense.

I've realized my characters are starting to become more complex.

The way I began to achieve more complex characters was to constantly imagine "nothing" conversations, and important scenes between them in different ways. I gave them voices and inflections in my head. Basically, I started treating them more like actual people and less like storytelling tools.

Characters are fun.

Dragon Fin Soup - Tactical Roguelike RPG

How did you get away with naming your studio "Grimm Bros."? That's just... I don't know. It's strange is all. How do you plan to build an identity for yourself with a name so similar to the Grimm Brothers?

Also the fact that the graphics resemble an early 2000s cartoon is really putting me off.

EDIT:

I can't even count how many times I've heard the points in that feature list repeated on this site.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

I've been playing Skyrim and Oblivion. My first time in Skyrim, about my billionth through Oblivion. As you would imagine, I'm just learning things about Skyrim and absolutely trashing Oblivion with no remorse (almost all my attributes capped, buffed beyond the limit, etc.)

One of my big peeves with Skyrim is how lame they manage to make the dragons. They come off as not a threat, or an epic battle of man vs nature, but an annoying inconvenience to exploration or plot advancement. Seriously, even Dwemer Centurions are far more frightening than dragons could ever be.

The Screenshot Topic Returns

The real problem is that even big castles aren't that huge in real life. If they are they probably have a town built inside of their walls. I've been in several castles before, and I'd say that a lot of people overestimate their size.

If you want to break it up, add more courtyard space. Some wooden buildings inside the walls of the big courtyard, for a blacksmith/general/whatever you want. If it's supposed to be a huge castle then make it elaborate, but give it a reason to be big.

Google doesn't even know what Youtube is. I'm convinced of it.

I just love how it always defaults to that fucking stupid social networking account with my real name that it gave me without asking. Or it asks me whenever I tab to it "WHAT ACCOUNT DO YOU WANT TO USE???". I fucking wonder, maybe the account with all of my shit on it?

It's not a social network. It's a video hosting site. People run shows off of it, how do they not know that? Am I gonna log in one day and see "JonTron Show" changed to "Jon Jafari"?

Just cause Google+ was a fucking stupid idea doesn't mean you have to try again. Just let it die like your Twitter knockoff.

Kenton A, the Science Guy.

I saw Gravity. It was.....beauty beyond words. Nothing can compare quite like what I've just seen.

I think Gravity has some of the saddest scenes of any movie I've seen, or at least the ones that got to me the most. Maybe this is just me, but I almost teared up when the ISS got ripped to pieces by the debris field.

Just seeing what is arguably humanity's greatest achievement destroyed in minutes was terrible.

What are you thinking about right now?

Gravity was a fantastic movie. Always nice to see Sci-Fi that isn't just "Shoot da aliens and get to da choppa"

I think the last pure Sci-Fi movie I watched besides Gravity (and the prerequisite 2001) and really enjoyed was 2010.
