I AM VERY GLAD THAT YOU LIKE IT

Tristian Ianna Promo

Tristian's head is looking a little too elongated- the bridge of the nose and conversely the entire lower half of the face are too low, so everything is looking a bit pulled out of shape, kind of crushing up the neck area as well. The nose bridge should be about eye level.

Fuck man, what is that song? I know I've heard it before but I can't place it.

Also, that is a really nice take on a sci-fi "world map". Are you going to be directing your attention to any one game in particular, or are you just working here and there on both this and Eagleland?

EDIT: Nevermind, I got it. Magician by Taxan. Such a good song.

Let's Play Carpan

Thanks for let's playing the game.

I don't agree that it was meaningless, even though it was a strange concept for a game. In itself, the game is definitely not for everybody, which is its biggest weakness (well, maybe not the biggest but a big one).

I also don't agree that this was a waste of my sprite work, since I had a lot of fun doing the graphics for the project and they're pretty much the best received thing about the game. Hell, I've even been told that I rekindled someone's love for the colour green, which was madness to hear.

Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

Mo' Music Mo' Problems

Ninkey Stretch is really nice. Reminds me of the old "Crystal" levels you'd see in SNES and N64 games.

Mo' Music Mo' Problems

I don't really know how to put it, but I think the music fits the graphical style of the game. I don't want to say "both are simplistic" but... Hmm. Not sure, the graphics have this pastel/water paint vibe going on, and the music reminds me of that medium.

Game Trailer

I'm excited to play this.

Adventure in Violet

Unfortunately a lot of the problems that you've been having with the engine are hard to alleviate. It's not really an open engine as such, it's more of a straight drag and drop with no in depth editing, unless you want to get into coding custom enemies and shit- but at that point you could probably just go full board and make your own damn game.

I'm probably not going to mess around with Knytt Stories for a little. The way it is now, with the changes I want to put into Adventure in Aquamarine, it'll take a while to fix everything up. I'm not really up to that at the moment so I'm gonna leave it.

I think I'm probably going to try my hand at another RPG, see how that goes. Me and my partner are planning to make a fair number of platformers so we'll get a lot pf practice with it, but the small number of RPGs we want to do need to be really top notch, so I feel like I need to have a little practice with that.

Adventure in Violet

Hey, thanks for posting the video. It helps to see someone actually play the game and know how long they spent doing each part, and how much difficulty they had with the areas and all that.

I guess I kind of knew while making it that the trap laden area wasn't balanced well, and the position of the spikes made no sense, because even I had trouble playing it. I think I just decided that in the interest of actually getting something done I'd just leave it as is, and worry about making better challenge in whatever I decided to do next. Not really the best option I suppose.

Thanks for all the support you've been giving me. It's really helpful.
