Hi, I was thinking about how I could help out RMN. I was thinking of coming up with an event called Classic Gam Mak where everyone can make a NES, or SNES styled RPG in any RPG Maker. For this I was thinking people could work alone, or in a team. Any rips, or graphics would be allowed. As along as the graphics are like the NES, or SNES. However here is the catch, they cannot make a fan game. The ideas have to be their own. Yes, they'll get badges, and maker score. I was thinking about doing this event whenever a time slot can be found. I see event this as something I could do to help RMN. It is the least I could do.

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask, but I need help with a review. It got denied because I gave it a 4 out of 5, and the community is not like to accept games with that rating that have spelling, and grammar errors. I am unsure how many stars I should have given it, or what to do. Does anyone know how to help me with this?

I was wondering. I use Audacity to shrink the oog music files I want to use. The problem I am having is keeps breaking there loop, and corrupting them causing them to stop in certain parts. Is there away to shrink oog files without this happening, and without losing too much quality? If I don't shrink them they make my game file too big.

This is an idea I have for a scifi rpg. I just want to make sure it makes sense, and that the sentences are not in error. I don't really want to change the story period. I just want suggestions, on my grammar, and spelling on how to make it sound better. This is something I made up. I also added character profiles. I am extremely sorry if this is not the right place in the forum to post this. No I didn't submit this idea yet. I just now thought of it, and typed it up in word, so that I wouldn't forget the ideas. Also how does it sound?

Dark Slayers

Story:
In the midst of the 22nd Century in 2170 C.E. a mysterious rift opened on Earth. Through the rift came monsters known as Mimickers. Not all but some of them could disguise themselves into a human form. However these creatures were vile, and murdered humans. No one knew what their intentions were. It did say however according to a Philosopher the only thing that could destroy these creatures were eight humans born with special powers under the sign of the eight elemental dragons, Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Shadow, Light, Chaos, and Spirit.

When the year 2197 C.E. came, a baby named Drago Tetsuya, was born in Japan. Shortly after he was born, his grandfather Akito Tetsuya sensed a disturbance with in the elemental stream for about twenty minutes. He looked at his grandson who his daughter in law was holding in her arms with her husband next to her. He whispered softly; “He is the one who will find the others.”

In order for Drago to fulfil his destiny, Akito found the home of a cat like demon named Setsuna. He asked him to watch over his grandson, and make sure no one interferes with his destiny. Disguised as a normal house cat Setsuna went over to Drago’s home with his grandfather. Akito gave them the cat and told them it was a gift.

One day when Drago’s father was out buying groceries for the house, he was killed on his way home by a mysterious man. Drago’s mother was struck with grief, so Akito helped her take care of Drago for a few years. However one night when Drago was eight years old, he heard his mother scream as he slept. Hearing the scream Drago ran out of his room only to find his mother murdered. There was a man standing in front of her body. He looked at Drago with a cold stare. Little did he was that this was the man who killed his father. This man started towards Drago however Setsuna assumed his human form, and stopped the man. He still got away however.

Since that day, and Akito, and Setsuna took care of Drago. They moved the United States Michigan a few years later, when Akito sensed that the other elemental users were there. They told Drago about his destiny, and trained him for ten long years. Now that he is eighteen years old he must find the others, and destroy the Mimickers.

Drago Tetsuya

Elemental: Spirit

Profile: Drago is the one who was born under the Spirit Elemental Dragon. He has the ability to heal others, and cure certain types of illness. It is his destiny to find the other elemental users. He is a rather happy person. However he has a bad temper if anyone makes him mad. He likes to use his power to teleport on roof tops of buildings when he is bored, and look at the stars.

Setsuna Ryuji

Elemental: All of the first four elementals

Profile: Setsuna is a catlike demon who has watched over Drago his whole life. However even though he can use all of the first four elementals, and is immortal, even he is not strong enough to destroy the Mimickers. He likes to walk around the cities, and loves to eat fish when he is hungry.

Minsia Smithiton

Elemental: Fire

Profile: Minsia is a friend of Drago, and the first of the elemental users he met. She is the one who was born under the Fire Dragon. She is mean to people she doesn’t know however, and Setsuna sometimes gets on her nerves. She likes to read about everything, and often visits holographic libraries to learn more about the world, and its history.

Lexxion Henderson

Elemental: Water

Profile: Lexxion is the one who was born under the Water Dragon. He is Drago’s best friend, but he has no clue about his powers. He often keeps things to himself, and won’t talk about it. He seems to be moody sometimes, but always tells his friends, and family that nothing is wrong if they ask. He likes to write poems, but it seems like every poem he writes expresses nothing but anger.

Nancy Blake

Elemental: Earth

Profile: Nancy is the one who was born under the Earth Dragon. She is smart, and always figuring things out. She later notices she has super human strength when her power awakens. She has trouble trying not accidently break things if he she gets mad, or excited. She likes to study things thoroughly unlike Minsia.

Rygel Andros

Elemental: Wind

Profile: Rygel is the one who was born under the Wind Dragon. He has always had the ability to read minds. At first he just thought he was going crazy, and took medications to try to stop the voices of others thoughts. However the medications didn’t work. When he met Drago he learned that he had the elemental Wind. He likes to help others in need, even his enemies.

Akito Tetsuya

Profile: Akito is Drago’s grandfather. He helped his daughter in law take care of him for few years after his father was murdered. Then took care of him after she was murdered. He taught Drago how to control his elemental power. He likes to stay at home, and drink tea, but will help Drago if needed.



Ihara Katsurugi

Profile: Ihara is the man who killed Drago’s mother, and father. What they don’t know is that he has been alive ever since feudal Japan. He has not aged a day, and is immortal because he ate Ningyo meat (Japanese for mermaid) to become immortal with eternal youth. The only reason he did this was because he is an old enemy of Setsuna, and wants to do all he can to make him suffer. No, one knows why he has a grudge against Setsuna.

That's what I have thought of so far. I would like some ideas on features that are not too hard for me to do as well. If you have any ideas for features please make sure they do not include having to make a script that doesn't yet exist. I am can't script to save my life. Also if it could be evented make sure the idea feature is easy to event.

Hi, I just wanted to post part of the first chapter of the story I am writing for the remake of my game Eternal Destiny. Please note this is NOT the full first chapter. Anything beyond what I pasted from word will only be in the game. So anything not mentioned is mentioned later on. Also please DO NOT steal this story I might want to make it into a manga that I want to self publish too. I just want to make sure is sounds right and that I didn't leave out too much information describing things. I was in special ed when I was in High School so that is why I have trouble with certain explanations on things and development with certain things. Also the story has some swearing just to warn you.

Eternal Destiny

Chapter 1: The Star Blade
It was very late at night as Sengal sat at his table writing his novel.
“I hope the publishers like this story, hopefully,” said Sengal. I’ve been rejected so many times it’s not funny.”
As soon as these words left his mouth, his mother Queen Artina knocked on his door and came into his room.
“Sengal its way past midnight, you need to get some sleep,” she said. I don’t want Leon to yell at you or hit you again.”
“Mom, you know I hit him back,” said Sengal. Ever since dad died he’s been abusive towards you and me. I wish we could run away from that show called uncle of mine.”
“We can’t run away from my brother,” said Artina. The city of Korsin needs us. Trust me you’ll be king one day and you’ll understand. Now get to bed.”
The next day Sengal walked around the market district with his best friend Balagan. Balagan was a tall handsome man with red hair and blue eyes. However he was an extreme pervert towards woman especially pretty and beautiful ones.
“Man I love this city, I hope one day I’ll find a beautiful maiden and sweep her off her feet, then marry her,” said Balagan. All she has to do is be very beautiful.
Sengal looked at Balagan with a bored expression.
“Really Balagan, not every woman in the world is drop dead gorgeous,” said Sengal. Trust me you won’t find a woman that looks exactly how you picture her in your fantasy.”
“Aw, you’re no fun Sengal,” said Balagan.
“I’m going to get something to eat at the pub, you can come but you better behave this time, and no beer!” exclaimed Sengal.
“Why not any beer, I’m two years older than you?” said Balagan. You’re not even old enough to drink yet.”
“The last time you had some you had one too many and hit on every woman that you saw there,” said Sengal.
They then went to the pub. The pub was a place where people loved to hang out and drink. Not to mention get dates and have fun.
As Sengal and Balagan sat at their table waiting for their food the bartender who was a woman with brown hair, brown eyes, small pigtails and dressed in a brown outfit.
She was serving customers, however one draggy looking man started bothering her.
“Hey, lady you look hot how about we go somewhere alone,” he asked.
“No, thank you,” she said.
“I wasn’t asking,” said the man.
He then claimed over the bar and grabbed her.
“Hey, don’t do that!” she yelled.
“You’re coming with me!” yelled the man.
“Where is the bouncer?” asked Balagan.
“That guy is the bouncer,” said a woman sitting at the table next to them.
People started to get up and leave even bothering to help or do anything.
Sengal then got up bursting with rage.
“Um, Sengal, I don’t think you should go over there,” said Balagan.
He completely ignored him and stormed over to the man.
“Look she said no!” yelled Sengal. She’s not interested, that is all you need to know! Now leave her alone!”
“Oh really, you’re just jealous because you want her,” said the man.
Sengal then grabbed the man and punched him in the face.
“You’re a pig!” yelled Sengal. The woman is not interested!”
“Oh, really!” yelled the man.
He then grabbed Sengal and punched him the face, then threw him down on the floor.
Balagan then got up very quickly and ran over to Sengal.
“Sorry sir, we’re just now leaving,” said Balagan. Please forgive my friend he can be a little hot headed.”
The girl then slapped the man and went back to work.
Balagan then dragged Sengal out of the pub.
“Why did you do that?” asked Sengal. That man wouldn’t leave her alone.
“It’s not up to you to defend everyone,” said Balagan. That woman should have got the manager.”
“What would the manager have done, kick him out just for him to come back the next day!” exclaimed Sengal.
“Sengal please calm down, your safety is more important” said Balagan. I couldn’t let you get killed over that.
“People say that this city is the best place to be!” yelled Sengal. They don’t even see or realize that if they lived here its trash! All that the people who live here do is sit on their lazy ass and do nothing if they see someone in trouble! They’re all a bunch of liars and deceivers who all deserve to go to Hell!”
“Sengal”, said Balagan.
Sengal then ran off out of the town and stood by the lake near the forest.
“Why do I always fail at things?” he asked himself while looking into the water. I can’t do anything right!”
A woman’s voice then said; “Don’t be so negative.”
A woman with long black hair, purple eyes, wearing a beaded head piece with a blue jewel in the middle, and wearing a black dress then came out of the forest.
“Who are you?” asked Sengal.
“I’m Monique, princess of the dragon city Era,” she answered.
“Why did you come all the way out here?” asked Sengal.
“This may seem weird but the Seers of Seer’s Peak asked me to find you,” she answered. They said that you are the only one who could stop Queen Sorsha from resurrecting the Grand Anigma Beast.”
“What are you talking about and how do you know it’s me?” asked Sengal. I’m a prince not a hero. I write novels for a living, not save the world.”
“None of your novels have been accepted and published,” said Monique.
“How do you know that?” asked Sengal.
“The seers they told me everything about you and they described to me what you look like,” she said. They also know you have scars on your body from your abusive uncle.”
“Um, I better go back to the city,” said Sengal with an embarrassed look on his face.
Sengal then went back to Korsin, where Balagan was waiting.
“Where did you go?” asked Balagan.
“Why?” Sengal asked sarcastically.
“Hey no need to be grouchy,” said Balagan.
“I’m going home,” said Sengal.
“Instead of going home, why don’t you just help me find some herbs in the forest?” asked Balagan. My grandma wants to make some of her soup tonight.”
“Fine,” said Sengal.
They then went into the forest to find the herbs. As they wandered the forest picking herbs, Sengal saw a woman with long green hair, red eyes and dressed I a black dress with her hair tied back looking at him from a distance behind the bushes.
He then suddenly collapsed and was out cold. Balagan, then ran over to him to check if he was okay.
“Sengal wake up,” he said.
He didn’t respond at all. So Balagan checked his pulse and he was still alive.
Balagan then picked him and instead of taking him home he took him to his house where his grandma was and put him in the guest room.
Balagan’s grandma’s name was Elias. She was in the kitchen baking cookies for dessert when Balagan walked in there.
After he put him in the guest room he went into the kitchen to talk to his grandma.

After Balgan talked to his grandma Sengal woke up the next day.
“What happened and how did I get here?” Sengal asked.
Balagan was sitting the chair next to the bed.
“You passed out in the forest yesterday,” Balagan answered.
“Yesterday, oh no,” said Sengal. Leon is going to be mad again.”
“Don’t worry about him,” said Balagan. When was the last time you ate? We didn’t even get to eat at the pub yesterday.”
“I don’t know, sometime last week,” Sengal answered.
“Sengal you know you need to eat,” said Balagan.
“How can I when I’m locked in my room all day and the servants are ordered to ignore me,” said Sengal.
“What!” Balagan exclaimed. You’re uncle locks you in your room!”
“The only way I can get out is if I climb out the tower window,” said Sengal.
“Your room is in the tower!” Balagan exclaimed. That King Leon sounds like a big ass hole! He shouldn’t order the servants to ignore you. Why didn’t you ever tell me this before?
“I didn't want you to worry,” said Sengal. Back when my father was alive he was a very kind a generous man. He helped the people in this town a lot. My room wasn’t always in the tower. It used to be downstairs, but Leon took the room away from me and made it a guest room. However Leon wasn’t always like that.”
“What made him that way?” asked Balagan.
“My mother and his wife used to be friends,” said Sengal. My mother and he were very young when my mom became queen. After I was born my mother went to the forest with his wife to gather berries and stuff, when suddenly his wife was attacked by an Anigma Beast. She died and ever since then King Leon blamed my mother for her death and takes it out on both of us. Leon gives me and my mom no freedom. He won’t even let us stay up too late at night because he thinks it makes him look bad to the others living in the castle.”
“I see, well he shouldn’t take it out on you,” said Balagan. Do they know he has been abusive to you and your mother?”
“Yes, they do,” said Sengal. However they are ordered to stay out of it. Speaking of this, I better go home now.”
“Not until you eat something,” said Balagan.
Later on after Sengal ate so breakfast he got ready to leave.
“I hope you get into the castle without a problem,” said Balagan.
“Trust me Leon will be waiting there to beat me up,” said Sengal.
“Maybe I should come with you,” said Balagan. I can explain what happened to your mother Queen Artina. I know she wouldn’t tell a soul.”
“Are you sure?” asked Sengal.
“Of course, you’re my friend I’ll be there to help,” said Balagan.
After Sengal made it back to the castle it appeared that King Leon was still asleep and had no clue that Sengal left. However his mother seemed very worried.
“Sengal thank goodness, you’re okay.” She said. What happened?”
They then explained to her what happened the day before.
“I’ll talk to the servants and see if they can start sneaking some food to you,” said Artina. Right head up to your room so that King Leon will not know you were ever gone.”
Balagan then began to exit the castle when Queen Artina stopped him for a minute.
“Balagan thank you for taking care of him,” She said.
“He is my friend after all,” said Balagan. I just hope that things get better for him.”
