An amateur game developer/spriter at 19 years of age. I'm interested primarily in rpgs, my favorite being the Dot Hack series, but I'm also fond of many others including Final Fantasy, Legend of Dragoon, Star Ocean, Dark Cloud, Shadow Hearts, Breath of Fire, etc.
The game engine I use is mostly VX Ace, though if I feel like it I can switch to another one at any time, as I happen to adore the projects made in 2k-XP, as well as VX which I also use. Below is a list of my projects I'm currently working on, will be working on in the future.
Current Projects:
Tears of Samsara (Current)
ToS: Shards of Xielba (Hiatus)
Synthetic Odyssey (Team, Hiatus)
Butterfly Chronicles: Palemoon (Hiatus)
Cancelled Projects:
NightinGale (Wanted to test rm2k's waters, but gave up on it.)
They Come (Mess made in a week for an event that was scrapped half-way through.)
Tester For:
Lithia (Developer recently returned, though this is still cancelled)
A Reason for Magic: Santoo Rinba (Cancelled; turned into Moon & Star Preludes)
Chaos Divine
The Grandest of Dreamers (Developer's gone missing)

Final Fantasy Tactics: Blood Solstice (A re-balancing hack for Final Fantasy Tactics with a lot of palette swaps)

Sorry I hadn't updated this yet..I finished working on, it's just that I've been busy, so I didn't get the chance 'til now! :o
Oh, and I decided not to rely on shadows "too" much, but I'll still be using 'em for elevated things like on the bird, and for walls. I've still got a ways to go before I get this stuff right though.. :c

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y - the 6th generation confirmed!
That's it, I'm calling Gen 6 the FABULOUS generation from now on!

author=alteregoI've already changed a few things on this, just haven't replaced the screenie yet..but, tbh I wouldn't know where to place columns without making it look too cluttered, unless I replaced the pillars with 'em or something..hmm.. o-o
I don't know, this structure looks too boring/monotonous. Unless that's what you were aiming for, I'd suggest spicing it up a little, for example, use other tiles to differentiate the floor from the walls. Also, try to add some detail like carvings on the walls, or ornamental columns, etc... Also, what's with those colored flames? They look real silly next to such drab building. =P
As for the fires, they're supposed to be a hint to a puzzle but if they're too distracting or out of place, I have no problem with taking 'em out.
What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
My nostalgia's kicking in...so I'm taking a break from my Skyrim playthrough and thinking of going through most of my favorite rpgs; FFVI, FFVII, FFIX, FFXII, BoF3, Legend of Dragoon, Pokemon Gold(or Heartgold..w/e), Dark Cloud 2, Shadow Hearts, Magna Carta: Tears of Blood, Digimon World 3(or the entire ps1 trilogy, since they're all pretty good), and Dot Hack/G.U. Oh, the memories! ;A;

Welcome to RMN Kadamode! Lol, I can safely say that writing is one thing I'm definitely not good at..but if I do need help with anything (I more than likely will ;A;), it's nice to know there's someone willing to offer it~ :)
Tethical, a tactical RPG engine
author=LockeZHeh, I've tried hacking FFT before...it's rather easy if you just wanna rebalance it, alter some dialogue, or put in new sprites/characters (like Ramza and Agrias with red armor :D), but yeah trying to make a completely new game is quite a feat~
Sigh! Back to idly lamenting about how much of a pain in the ass it would be to hack FF Tactics to the degree it would require to make an entirely new game in its engine, and foolishly imagining I'll probably do it some day.
Need people to help me make my world
500x500 is pretty damn large even for an overworld...unless you can post a screenie or two of it, my only advice is to cut it down by at least half~ :)
