Everything is self contained.
Did you have V2D and install V2H over it and use the saves from V2D?
That's the only way I can think of that you would have that problem.
I've been playing the game over from the start using V2H and it works fine for me.
Does it give you any error messages? Does the game freeze or crash back to Windows?

Games are a medium. Like television is a medium. Mediums contain many of arts.

And as it turns out, it doesn't freeze, it just takes a noticable amount of time, but once the shop opens, it opens a second time quicker. It only happens with the forges / potion brews. Basically the first time it gets stuck 5 seconds (I'm sure it depends on your processor or RAM), then the next time the shop instantly pops up.

I just talked to the guy in the basement and yes it does lock up. It looks like a problem with the make items script. Oye.
I have a feeling that it is because of my multiple party system.
