Such small doors for tall houses. Not a fan of the wooden bottoms, because they look like paths and not walls.

This does look good, the only criticism I have is the fat brick paths clash against the normal brick paths.

This seems very bright for a cave / organism. Maybe darken it and add a few purple lights here and there :-)

Walls look empty. Floors might want something on them too.

Notable differences between VX and VX Ace

Because it has a lot of the same features and grid based characters as RPGM2K3.

Mapping

After viewing your screenshots, I think the biggest element you need to do is tighten up your maps. Like you have a row of 1 trees lining your outer areas... make it a line of 5 trees instead. You don't need an empty space of 20 x 20 when you can only fill it with 5 x 5. The player doesn't need to get lost in nothing, so again add fences, walls, hedges and tree lines to restrict the player. The player craves restrictions.

Again very empty. You need a full screen of trees with like a 10 x 10 area that is grass with the grave in it. Then on the grass put flower, pushes and interesting things.
